“Addiction”

The hand of death is touching me
Reaching my heart, choking my life
Darkened winds blow through my soul
Please believe in this world of pain
Surrounded by echoes of life
Teasing my soul about love
Make me survive this time
I’m too strong to fall through
A wilderness blinds my staggered eyes
Swerving around into images of blood
Dripping on my hands like gold
