Acoustika are Joseph Micallef (guitar), George Pollacco (guitar) and presently Alex Debono (drums). Originally Louis Naudi was the percussionist but after his unexpected demise at the age of 38 in 2004, Acoustika are using the services of Alex Debono (most of the time anyway).
Our music is obviously acoustic (hence the band name) and we get our inspiration from guys like Paco De Lucia, Al di Meola, John Mclaughlin, Earl Klugh, Tommy Emmanuel and such guitar masters. That does not mean that we are anywhere near their greatness - but that's what we usually listen to most nowadays. In our earlier days we used to listen mostly to the Gypsy Kings and Acoustic Alchemy too.
