After the breakup of Daycare For Dave "I decided to just write, sing and produce my own songs." I didn't want to (and couldn't) depend on four or five guys sticking it out as a group anymore. I learned a lot during the recording process of our final CD "Noize in the neighborhood", especially the engineering side. So I started "Addicted Records". I wanted to produce and engineer my debut solo CD "The right amount of drunk". It's great, I work when I'm inspired and I don't have to worry about the clock $$.
Some of the songs are left over ideas I had from the "DFD" days but most I started to write just for this CD. During the writing process my friend, bassist and songwriting partner Marshall came in and helped me with some chord changes, lyrics and background vocals. I'd say he co-wrote about a third of the CD.
In the studio I play all of the instruments, sing and shape all the loops. Marshall Davis does 90% of the backing vocals and most of the bass trax. Chuck Crenshaw (Rubicon, Red) plays keys on a few songs. I really like to include the live element in my recordings.
For the live shows it's the "Blue Widows" - Jeff Murphy (Allrise, Rubicon) on drums & backing vocals and Nori Iji (DFD, The Bunk) on Bass .
This CD is a blend of all my influences from Rock, Punk, Pop, Country and the Blues. My goal is to be a published songwriter/producer for myself and other artists and play my music live! I have a few things published and I'm getting some good feedback on some songwriting contests. Also, I own and run 3rd st. Studios, you can find it on my top 24.
I can get you a great sounding product for a good price, and if you need a guitar player for your project, live, studio or lessons I play most any style and have tons of experience. I use Guild & Fender electric and Martin acoustic guitars. For the studio its Line 6 amps.Published member of ASCAP & Songwriters Guild of America !!
Hey there, this is Bill (the singer, Woo!). Hope all is well with you. :) So anyways here's what up... I'm going from friend to friend on our list (yes, I'm literally on your page right now...I'd wave but you wouldn't see it). We're asking for help and really need it! We've joined a contest to play with Motley Crue on their 2009 US Tour. How friggin' cool would that be? So all of us in the band are writing to everyone on our friends list (and you're in my section, haha) asking them to please vote for us. If you're down here's the link to vote. You can vote once a day, but hey, once is enough if it's all you have time for. Anyways thanks for reading my novel and please do write us back whether you vote or not. We actually ANSWER all of our messages, comments, etc. as well. We like to have that bond with our friends, ya know? Anyways take care of yourself. Bill
