summer 2005? we get the bright idea to go to o'ahu, playing three originals and an hour of covers under the name "rockers."
sometime later: we get a brighter idea to go back to o'ahu, this time playing all originals. five days, five gigs. ktuh live gets recorded.
later still: the ktuh recording gets distributed wide for free. kapono leaves the band, ekona moves from keys to bass, star puts the axe down and takes over keys.
some more later: kihei joins the band, then promptly joins halealoha in jail. kihei gets out first, but not before we get renamed "ai pohaku."
earlier than now but still later than before: more originals, more o'ahu gigs, backing gigs, add grant on percussion.
couple a months ago: start the first official album...
boys whats going on.. just checking in from iraq, kinda shitty deals over here but eh along as i have my ipod and some AIPOHAKU backing me up, pssh can handle...aole maupopo if kihei checks this but whats going on with the kalo business in the HI...i just received a letter from my mom saying that there was a big kalo thing in molokai. Im moving to oahu but i want to take the kalo 2 class before i do. maybe that was like couple months ago cause the mail small kine slow.... hoʻi wau i hawaii ma nowemapa . hope you guys got a show, nokame makemake au e hoolohe i na kanaka o AIPOHAKU kanikapila!
