summer 2005? we get the bright idea to go to o'ahu, playing three originals and an hour of covers under the name "rockers.".. .. ..
sometime later: we get a brighter idea to go back to o'ahu, this time playing all originals. five days, five gigs. ktuh live gets recorded.. .. ..
later still: the ktuh recording gets distributed wide for free. kapono leaves the band, ekona moves from keys to bass, star puts the axe down and takes over keys.. .. ..
some more later: kihei joins the band, then promptly joins halealoha in jail. kihei gets out first, but not before we get renamed "ai pohaku.".. .. ..
earlier than now but still later than before: more originals, more o'ahu gigs, backing gigs, add grant on percussion.. .. ..
couple a months ago: start the first official album...
Aloha No Anakala Poki'i. This is Ceysha from Cohort 4 of Na Pua No'eau. I sang Huki'ia with you, and Mika. Hope you remember me! Well, just dropping by to say hello. Wasn't able to go to NHEA because I didn't sign papers, but all the Lana'i gang said you were there and I was super sad...but hope to see you again sometime and who knows? Maybe perform together once again. A hui hou!
Ceysha. PS I also put together a small band. I got a scholarship from this Mohala Hou foundation and got to go to a Ki Ho Alu workshop with Keola Beamer on the Big Island. Orginally, this Aloha Music Camp is held on Moloka'i, but since the ranch closed it has been moved to Kona. Hope 'AIPOHAKU will be able to come to Lana'i to perform. I'll be glad to help!
