Alice Unchained is the a Tribute Band to Alice in Chains. Their is no better tribute to Alice in Chains on the planet. Alice Unchained have managed to become one of the top contenders in the tribute scene over the last 8 years and packs most any venue in the club scene and State Fairs.
Alice Unchained is a product of two previous bands that were both paying tribute to Alice in Chains. Sap had been playing the scene for 5 years and filling clubs in the O.C., inland empire and Riverside areas. Dirt was the other band that hit the scene for about a year when it became obvious that the 2 bands should join forces. Ken Bailey from Dirt and Bobby Holder from Sap begain talking via email. Once they had talked about the issue enough. Ken went to Bobby and Tien's home to meet and jam with them to test the waters. It was an instant match made in Rock n Roll heaven. The situation with Sap's bass player was in question so Ken suggested that he ask his bass player Jeff Sargeant. They said sure. See what he says and lets all get together and feel it out. About a year later Jeff gave up playing music for his career and Tony, Sap's old Bass Player came back on board. Tony was the final missing link to make it all a perfect match musically.
Time rolled on and Alice Unchained played as many as 2 shows a week for 2 years to fine tune the project and build the following. Alice Unchained continues to pack clubs all over Southern California, Phoenix, and are now looking to expand there tours to Northern California and Seattle, The home land of Alice in Chains. This is a pro band that doesn't miss a beat in reproducing Alice in Chains Live.
