I've been trying to come up with a way to describe my new record,TAKES.
The French say it sounds Californian, because of the dreamy
layers of harmony, I guess, and it's true there's a 60's 70's San Francisco feel.
I've been saying the record is "Druggy-NY-meets-folky-Westcoast-pop-with-psychedelia-and-Brittish theatrics".
I guess you can tell me if I'm crazy or not when TAKES
comes out, November 5th. I'm deeply proud of this project, which I am (almost) literally chomping at the bit for you to hear.
I made a bunch of paintings and drawings for it too, a real window into my planet, and there will even be a vinyl version!
You can picture me yearning to bring you this record, and waiting to see you right in front of me when the live tour begins!
