   Center For Non Dualism's Blurbs
About me:

The Center for Non-Dualism is a community for people who share the Non-Dual perspective of Religion, Yoga, and Philosophy. The purpose of the Center is to maintain a loving fellowship and to provide a nurturing environment that is conducive to learning and experiencing the oneness of Non-Dualism. Non-Dualism is the orientation that there is one absolute reality without a second, and that each of us, although an individual person, is one with that reality, just as a wave is not separate from the ocean. The emphasis of our Center is on the practices such as contemplation and meditation which lead to the direct experience of this Non-Dual reality.

We are a passionate community of people who come from many backgrounds, and have a variety of spiritual or religious practices. While we are diverse people, we have in common the core belief that whether it is called Truth, Divine, God, some other name, or no name at all, we are all inseparably faces of the one, absolute reality, which has no “second” or “other.”

We are not merely “connected” with one another, which still would see us as separate, along with a separate world. It is not that “I” am here and “God” is “there.” Rather, there is literally a common reality that is both the true nature of us and the universe. The word “Non-Dual” is not negative; it is not “non” or “anti” anything in the conventional sense of such words. When you walk along a beautiful beach, you may watch this or that wave rolling along, or crashing onto the beach. Yet, the waves are not separate from the ocean. The waves are not merely “connected” with one another; they are not separate from the ocean; they are not two. This is the meaning of Non-Dualism.

To some people Non-Dualism is a philosophy, to others a religious view, and to still others a view that is so entirely self-evident reality that it need not be labeled as either philosophy or religion. The Non-Dual view is at least as old as the Vedas, which is one of the ancient most writings of humanity, being at least 3500 years old. It is replete within the Dharma teachings, which are precursor to the traditions of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism. Non-Dualism is also the higher realization of mystics of the three Abrahamic traditions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The Non-Dual mystics within all of these traditions have always been, and remain a minority. It is for that minority that the Center for Non-Dualism has been created, regardless of which, if any, of these traditions is the background of one’s life.

Truly dualism is the root of suffering. There is no other remedy for it than the realisation that all this that we see is unreal, and that I am the one stainless reality, consisting of consciousness.

I am pure awareness though through ignorance I have imagined myself to have additional attributes. By continually reflecting like this, my dwelling place is in the Unimagined.

THE SECRET OF SHIVA AND SHAKTI
Swami Jnaneshvara Bharati

Shiva and Shakti are one and the same.

There is no place that He is not.
There is no place that She is not.
They are one and the same.

She is in every thing.
She is in every word.
She is all there is.

See Her in all things.
Hear Her in all sounds.
Know Her in all thoughts.
Feel Her in all feelings.
She is all there is.

She is the one in the three worlds.

Shiva and Shakti are one and the same.
That is the secret.

As the ocean moves so to does the mind, rising up and falling away like waves in the sea.
The ocean requires not that the waves believe in it. Yet, they all dance and sway to its rhythm, always at one with its flow.

Rising and falling, evaporating and condensating, solidifying and sublimating, expanding an contracting; yet, still there is only water....one thing manifesting variously, there and there, unified in the singular presence of the here and now.

The thought "I" rises up with the mind and recedes again with the mind in the cosmic ocean of pure awareness. The "I" is only a river in the sea.

When the wave recedes back into the ocean; only water remains.

We take the thinker of the 'I' thought to be a captain, guiding the way of the ship of the body-mind.
In awakening, we see that the thinker-captain is not sailing the ship at all.
He is a floorboard, built into the ship!
The ocean drives the ship, not the captain.
The ocean is the true nature in which the ship moves.
Is the ocean interested in the affairs of the ship?
No, without interest whatsoever it effortlessly moves the ship along.
Without the ocean, the ship moves nowhere.
Taste that ocean!

The stream flows on without requiring that the drop believe in it.
The tree grows on without needing the leaf to acknowledge it.
When I saw the world, I couldn't see God anywhere.
When God was the seer, I couldn't be seen anywhere.

In meditation, lover and loved fall away and love remains.
In meditation, knower and known fall away and only knowing remains.
In meditation, subject and object fall away and only vivid awareness stays.

Believing in God is believing in the believer in God.
If the believer goes, the belief goes with it.
Then only God remains.

Just dropped in to send my love and greetings!
"In love there can never be distinctions among castes, people or religions. Distinctions come from narrowness of vision, not from love. From love comes absorbtion in non-duality"

At the still point of the turning world,
Neither flesh nor fleshless;
Neither from nor towards: at the still point, there the dance is,
But neither arrest not movement.
And do not call it fixity.

Where past and future are gathered.
Neither movement from nor towards, Neither ascent nor decline.

Except for the point, the still point,
There would be no dance, and there is only the dance.

I can only say, there we have been; but I cannot say where.
And I cannot say how long, for that is to place it in time...

~T.S.Eliot~

Rushing into action, you fail.
Trying to grasp things, you lose them.
Forcing a project to completion,
You ruin what was almost ripe.
Therefore, the Master takes action
By letting things take their course.

-Tao Te Ching verse 64

As we develop the faith-building practice of patience, we learn to trust divine timing for our lives.

We invite the Divine One to guide us toward right action and discover that we can be astonished by the infinite resources available to us.
