Led by former Big Jack Johnson guitarist/vocalist Christopher Dean, the Christopher Dean Band has brought the sounds of Chicago, Texas, and Delta blues to the central New Jersey region.
Released in 2001, debut album Dogged 'n Driven showcases the band's diverse approach to the blues. Born in Edison, NJ, Dean was taught to play guitar by his older brother, bass player David Foti. Graduating from high school in 1992, Dean went on to study an eclectic range of guitar styles, including jazz, folk, country, pop, and the blues. After leading his own trio for several years, he joined Mississippi-born Johnson's band, the Oilers, along with Foti. After four years with the group, they left to form the Christopher Dean Band. ~ Craig Harris
