The College Democrats of America (CDA) is the official student outreach arm of the Democratic Party.

Our aim is to train and engage new generations of Democratic activists and shape the Democratic Party with voices from America's youth.

In election years, College Democrats work hard to mobilize student voters and recruit volunteers for Democratic campaigns, from town council to President of the United States. In 2004, CDA recruited activists on more than 1,200 campuses in all 50 states.

In 2006, CDA was larger, more organized, and better trained than ever, and carried out a field plan that helped deliver a Democratic Majority in both houses of congress!

Women UNITED for Obama	May 4 2008 3:55 PM Fellow Democrats: The gas tax reveals something that EVERY media organization, and all of the major print producers are inextricably linked to the interests of the gas and oil industry, as well as the Wall Street financial firms and other large corporations that are interlinked. The subject of gas and oil is very dangerous. I doubt McCain comprehends fully what is going on, but Clinton most assureduly does. Those two are in full pander to the easy fix that is at best, a distraction from the real issues. The gas and oil industry have shown themselves to be keenly interested in distraction. I think when Clinton joined McCain, a very odd move, she unintentionallly allowed Obama to take charge. Does Obama or his campaign really understand fully what they have tied into? Our economy is right on the edge of going into the ditch. One of the key problems is that, since WWII, there has been really no thinking about alternatives to a dependence on the whole matrix of consumer growth, media, and all of the military spending the government does. The glue holding all of that together has been cheap oil. The elephant in the room here is that the media will do anything to avoid bringing into discussion the problems that we are currently facing. The only thing that all these people know how to do is to keep on doing the same thing since the end of WWII. They are probably very afraid of opening up the curtain to look at the backstage realities that might scare the bejeesus out of anyone who gets a peek. I think a lot of people appreciate Obama resisting the easy pander. I think the media is afraid he will tell the truth, and the last thing they want is a President who actually will go on TV and tell the public what is really going on. So, that's my theory about why he is getting over-reactions to his sensible response to the 'superficiality' of the gas tax rebate idea. It certainly isn't logical on the surface.

Women UNITED for Obama	Aug 1 2007 11:32 PM Sharing a thought with you: The Obama campaign may not go negative on Hillary but that doesn’t mean we cannot subtly and tactfully help Democrats understand that if we want to win the presidency, she is not the way to go. The media wants her to win the nomination because they like a down and out dirty fight. Hillary is so polarizing; they know they’ll get one with her against the Republicans. Republican talk show hosts and listeners are salivating to fight with her. The Republicans will exploit her many negatives and destroy her. We must tell the consequences of a Hillary nomination. The key is, many are supporting Hillary because they love her husband. We must make it understood that giving Hillary the nomination does not mean they are bringing Bill Clinton back. The Republicans have more dirt on Hillary than Obama and their negative ads will put an end to her run. Her campaign is portraying her as campy and whimsical because she has never been that. In the latest USA Today/Gallup poll, conducted April 13-15, 2007, more Americans say they have an unfavorable (52%) than a favorable view (45%) of Clinton. Clinton's favorable rating has been below 50% in each of the last three Gallup Polls. The Republican machine will destroy her! Obama will make the country feel good about the future. It will be harder to go negative on him in the general election. We must focus on the word ‘authenticity’. Is she authentic? No she is not! Her stance on the war has changed as the polls on the war change. She talks about universal health care but accepts donations from drug lobbyists who are vigorously waging a war against universal health care. She actively worked by threatening to silence women who slept with her husband, instead of holding him accountable; Is this the action of someone for women’s rights? Inform all who will listen that Obama is the best hope!
