Nice to see you last night. I fell in love with a blonde who drinks san miguel. Anyways, heres details of that gig i bought the gliter ball for! paul
THIS SATURDAY, 8th March at The BUFFALO BAR, London N1 8.30pm ..
LET’S WRESTLE Think Art Brut, TV Personalities, Pavement, Subway Sect, Wedding Present etc. Utterly charming and beautifully shambolic. + PARANOID DOG BARK ART BRUT front man Eddie Argos has formed what he describes as an ‘orthodox glam rock outfit’, an indie supergroup with David Devant, Stuffy (Graham Coxon's drummer) and others (including our own Paul Guided Missile), with glittery suits, platform shoes, make up,.. and they do all the necessary synchronized stage stomping. Live they appear with Bath’s sensational dance troupe The Panther Girls, dancing and joining in on the parts where everyone shouts out “Hey!” + THE JOY FORMIDABLE You can hear one of their tracks on the ad for Skins at the moment (the telly programme, not rizlas), NME compares them to YYY’s, maybe they’re a bit Breeders too? ... we dunno, but they write great, great, indie pop songs and they’re damn good looking too. Surely they’ll go far. Don’t miss them! + CRUISER CHIMPS Bearsuit’s Lisa and Iain’s side project which sounds like all the best bits of Bearsuit mixed with Melt Banana and Swell Maps! They say they “spend more time on the dance routines than they do on the songs”, so expect Top Entertainment!
Then, after midnight, enjoy: GUIDED MISSILE THE CLUB til 4am Guided Missile DJS: Val and Paul play indie classics, hot newbies, post-punk and drunken pop
See you at the Buffalo this Sat, 8.30. Arrive early! £6/£5

How are you today?
I just dropped by to let you know that our friend Nick Romes from American band Thousand Yard Stare will be in London next week and is playing a one-off acoustic show at The Wilmington. He's coming all the way from Arizona so check out his music here and if you like what you hear then come along and show him some love! It's at the Wilmington in Islington on Wednesday 30th May. Flyers are here.
Hopefully I'll see you there!
