About me:
What won't you find in the details down the left side? Well, first off I'm in love. Her name is New York City and she's been true to me ever since we met almost 5 wonderful years ago. Its kind of a bittersweet thing because I've always had the mountains in my soul so I know I won't stay here, but I just can't see myself leaving quite yet, I've felt that way for a long time, and I probably will be saying the same thing in another 5 years. Who knows.
I'm not in grad school even though I probably should be, mainly for fear of commitment. Putting myself through college committed me to 6-8 years of responsible working adultness to pay off the bills, and getting my MBA would just do it on a bigger scale. The commitment years might stay the same, but the debt/salary dollars go way up. Big freakin deal. I have slightly less justifiable reasons for not owning real estate at my age. After all, I do live on pretty much the pinnacle of the real estate bubble. Just waiting for the pop...
I love my church, and working with the youth group there, for me it is my very favorite part of the city. You'll see some of the youth group kids in my friends, if you're wondering. I'd link to my blog here except I've already linked to kids in my youth group, so have fun finding it (hint, same picture I have here is on my blog - and its like 5 years old).
I'm healthily single and loving life, which I consider an outstanding accomplishment at my age, given the fact that 90% of the people I know from 5+ years ago now have a picture of their significant other or even kid(s) on their myspace profile. This city is a great place to be single, I feel like its the only place in the world where people think its normal.
I don't ski nearly as much as I used to (and I've never skied as much as I like) but I still run 6+ miles a day to keep my knees ready for the season. I'm trying to find the time for swimming and biking too as I'd like to do an Ironman some day, but my work just doesn't allow for that kind of flexibility.
I'm a manager for a global business consulting / solutions firm. Basically I'm a traveling Michael Scott. Sometimes I wish I was Jim.
I'm kind of a big deal.
I'm the oldest of 6 awesome siblings, born to totally rad parents from gnarly Northern California. I still use the adjective 'hella' in my regular vocabulary.
I think I'd like to write some day, for a living. I don't have enough time to read as much as I need to right now to make that a realistic goal, but its still out there. I have no idea if God will fulfill this desire in my life, but I'm pretty sure, like most healthy desires, He gave me it for a reason.
In spite of myself, I'm continuously discovering how good He is.
