I was born in 1953 in Glendale California. I have two grown children and 5 grandkids and am married to my best friend. I've been teaching for a whole lotta years, kids of all ages, but mostly 3-5 years old. I JUST turned old enough to qualify for senior meals at Denny's....OMG!! How can it BE!?
I've lived a crazy life part of the time and a traditional one in between the crazy times. I can tell you first hand that the traditional life is a heck of a lot easier, and the payback is minimal. The crazy one is more 'fun' but we often pay for life. There are lots of things I did that were crazy though that enriched my life and reshaped who I am, and I'm grateful for that. I met LOTS of different people and learned that 'I', although unique, am just a person like everyone else. There's nothing elite about ME or my family or my friends or anything in my life, except that they are 'mine'. Everyone has their own and it's all good. I learned to be accepting and tolerant, and it's a life goal of mine to build on that daily.
My husband and I live a simple life and we don't want much or need much. I admire my husband tremendously for being 'who he is', and I'm happy that I've been able to maintain who I've always been as well. He just needs to toss a line into the water now and then, and I need to feed my brain with new information about any and everything. We both love to be in the garden...our common bond.
We have two adorable pups that we rescued from the animal shelter. We also have a new baby puppy, rosebud. She's a Jack Chi and is just adorable and fiesty as heck. Then there's Missy, a 10 or so year old fussy cockateil. AND a hoard of tropical fish.
