Too many. I love comedies, horror movies and documentaries most of all. However, I'll seriously watch anything. Great cinema may transform and redeem, but bad cinema provides endless snarkage & bonding ops.
The best film I've seen this year is The Wrestler. And go see Slumdog Millionaire as well. Danny Boyle: blowing your mind since '94.

Books
The Great Gatsby, Lolita, Laurel Canyon, Strip City, comics, anything about the '60s and '70s rock scenes, film and TV criticism, old Hollywood stuff, biographies and memoirs, oral histories, art books, you name it. I don't read a buttload of fiction these days, and I should probably remedy that. I have a book about Luis Bunuel on my coffee table that I've never read. I like saying "Luis Bunuel."
