Music
I like a little bit of everything. before i got into the whole dj thing i was into pink floyd, U2, Sublime, Outkast, Red Hot Chili Peppers to name a few. Now I'm mainly into house music, although i like it all my favorite is the groovy/deep/soulful san francisco sound. Favorite producers include Fred Everything, Johnny Fiasco, Diz, Derrick Carter, DJ Heather, JT Donaldson, Andy Caldwell, Joey Youngman, DJ Sneak, Mark Farina, Jake Childs, Swirl People, East Coast Boogiemen, Lawnchair Generals; Iz, Demarkus Lewis, Thomas Sahs,Tortured Soul, Masters at Work, Louie Vega, Uneaq, Littlemen, Wally Callerio, Collete, Greenskeepers, Broken Home, Joshua Heath, Jazzy Eyewear, Kinky Movement, Troydon, Anything off of Drop Music, Mobile Trax, Blockhead Recordings; Amenti, Agave, Doubledown/Lowdown, Fetish Recordings, Myna Music, So Sound, Down South Music... believe me the list goes on.... Also, recently taken up Drum and Bass, not so much the dirty aggressive techy dnb (which i like, i just don't play), but more the deep liquid funk sound. I love Calibre, High Contrast, Shy FX, London Elektricity, JuJu, Logistics, Mathematics, Visionary, LTJ Bukem, Nu-Tone, Commix and pretty much anything coming off Hospital Records, Advance Recordings, or Signature Records. One of my friends turned me on to trip hop/downtempo and now i'm hooked... So never thought i'd say this... been feeling some electro these days... dirty south, klaas, tonite only, global deejays, jeroenski, tocadisco, tv rock, dave guetta, simian mobile disco, deadmau5, fedde le grand...

About me: Frankie M has made a name for herself in San Diego.
Not only is she one of the few female DJs consistently on the scene as a full-time professional dj, but she’s also a part of the select few who plays real House music. Completely versatile within that genre, Frankie spins everything from something deep and sexy, to funky groovy beats to banging electro. Her song selection is unique, and her skills behind the decks prove that she’s got talent and can move a crowd to get down.
Frankie M’s love of House music started in 2001 in St. Louis. There she was exposed to greats like Charles Feelgood, DJ Carl Cox and Richie Hawtin. It was at that point that she jumped into the dj lifestyle with both feet, while achieving her degree in Biology.
Then, she delved deeper into the scene by opening up a record shop after relocating to San Diego. There she focused on learning more about House as the principal buyer for the shop.
Frankie decided to pursue dj-ing professionally once the shop closed in 2006, and was able to solidify her reputation as one of the best House DJs in America’s finest city. She started building up her resume at Red Circle and Excelsior. With hard work and precision playing she worked her way up to bigger venues and bigger parties. By then Frankie was working closely with one of the biggest club promotions companies in town, DJhere, and started to gather a solid following and fan base in San Diego.
Fast-forward to the present, Frankie M now has 4 years of professional DJ experience under her belt. She’s played next to legends like Fred Everything, Andy Caldwell and Miles Maeda. She’s also put out three mixes: Deep Side of the City, Funky Side of Town and Hear for a Good Time. She also produces a podcast once a month while regularly playing out at both weekly and special events.
Clubs and promoters always know that patrons will have an amazing experience, as Frankie unfailingly delivers the right joints to keep crowds dancing until the house lights switch on.
Looking forward Frankie M plans on expanding her musical reach by branching out across the West Coast and eventually the rest of the country and internationally. Already proving that she can hold her own in a male dominated industry, her career will continue to move on-ward and up-wards.
