A celebration of life through rock and roll, the band Doggybag
attributes much of its inspiration to most of its members having grown up in Communist Czechoslovakia, where their country prohibited them from expressing any creativity or individuality. As adults living in the United States, the five members of Doggybag now create and perform European-tinged American rock that connects to audiences with a pervasively positive energy, while combining the wide variety of the band's influences.
The band formed its nucleus in the winter of 2002, when bassist/guitarist/songwriter Jan Prachar met singer/songwriter Marek Hosek. The two motivated artists tried out various band members until they found the musicians who adhered to the sounds they desired, adding lead guitarist Carl Hudecek, keyboard player Laddy Pistek, and, eventually, drummer Mike Amandes. *************************************************************

************************************************************* In August 2005, after several years of playing packed live shows, Doggybag proudly released its first album, Invisible Living, to eager fans. In April 2008, the band released their follow-up album Lunar Cabaret and Full Moon Cafe, which showcases the band's stylistic variety and songwriting skills.
With an abundance of creativity and musicianship, Doggybag is always looking to update their sound and try new things, whether it be new textures, sounds, song styles, or different instruments. With its driving work ethic and singular focus on making music that moves people, Doggybag continues to wow audiences across the country.
