    Books, writing, art, movies, nature, the medieval period and its weapons, history in general and before 1700 in particular, archaeology, paleontology, astronomy, science fiction (art, books and films), fantasy (ditto), dragons, mythical creatures in general, and all things that exist within the imagination

    Rock--Hard rock, acid rock, soft rock, easy rock.

    Classical, Enya and the like. Most music from the '80s (except country).

    I am also a big Ed Wood fan. His movies broke ground in the absurd and poor taste realm, but he followed his dream, doing what He felt was the right thing to do, regardless of what anyone else thought. Okay, maybe he was always Wrong, but he did things 'His' way, and people still watch his films.

    Irving Klaw, for having the foresight and courage to work against the Puritanical morals system during the 1950s and bring us, among other great talents, Bettie Page and everything she has shared with us these past fifty years.

    Joseph Michael Linsner, for his amazing contribution to the world of art with, among other things, DAWN, along with all of her beauty and adventures.

About me:

I recently became a of member of the SCA. More specifically, the Shire of Al-Sahid, in the Kingdom of Caid. While too old and busted up to be a combat warrior, I intend to take up archery once again, as well as participate in knife, spear and axe throwing competitions.

Background: After 20 plus years in the medical field and now disabled, I have returned to writing and editing. I also collect bladed weapons, among other things.

High School: Yes.

College: Yes.

School of Hard Knocks: Oh, yes!

Occupation: By choice, a writer (author of among other things, a book of collected short stories and poems, "Dreams of Darkness, Dreams of Night," which can be viewed at the web site DreamsofDarknessDreamsofNight.com. ) and sometimes artist. By necessity, I have worked in the medical field for over twenty years. (Now retired)
