WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, THE FIGHT FROM ABOVE BIO...
Authentic 100 proof indie rock with a splash of pop, FIGHT FROM ABOVE is a group of four longtime friends known by their loyal California fan base for energetic, powerful live performances and intelligent, catchy songwriting in the spirit of Death Cab For Cutie, The Kooks, and Cold War Kids.
Zack (guitars and vocals) and Dave (drums) were childhood buddies who played in bands in the late 90's Agoura/Calabasas scene. Miner (guitars and vocals) joined them during their college years, playing in the band Hurlyburly and then welcoming Krook (bass) to form Fight From Above. In the midst of releasing two EP's, TIGERS OF TOLUCA (2005) and IT'S JUST SOMETHING TO SAY (2006), they began to build momentum, winning over audiences at the many storied Los Angeles venues somewhere between Hollywood's Sunset Strip and Silver Lake's Sunset Junction.
The band's full-length debut, L.A. KIDS (2009), is an homage to the unmarked, questionable joints with which they've fallen in love over the years. In a city known for passing trends, Fight From Above is avoiding the self-absorbed promotional machine in favor of planting roots that will last in the shadows of the downtown skyline.

Guys, we would fucking love to come to the show, but...[there's always a but right?!] we are stranded without traqnsport right now and also couch hopping til we get our accommodation situation sorted, so it's a crazy time for us. I'm sure you guys will rock the house and we wish you the very best of luck with it. We will make the next show - assuming we have transport sorted by then, which we should. Thanks for getting in touch and we look forward to meeting up with you in the near future. Til then, have a great show and rock on.
