Fingerprint is a christchurch based band who are bought together through friendship and Music to create a new breed of high energy rock.
Fingerprint is based in christchurch, the five friends are bought together by two common interests, making music and drinking too much. Been together for about two years and have played many places around New Zealand such as, Hysteria bar in auckland, The Kings Arms, Revolver in queenstown and Refuel in dunedin. On top of that we do our best to play around christchurch to build up a base of fans.
Fingerprint has played amongst some of New Zealands biggest bands supporting, Elemeno P, The Bleeders, The Exponents, Goodnight Nurse, Cold By Winter, Stylus, Redline, The Electric Confectionares, and The Mint Chicks, along with internationals Nashville Pussy.
The biggest show to date was when fingerprint headlined the 2007 University Stien to a crowd of 2500 people it was out of control.
Our music is best described as alternative rock consisting of some up beat songs with some edgy guitar skills and some and energetic drumming all combined with some sharp vocals. As a band we are always pushing our live show to be bigger and better than the last one.
At the end of last year fingerprint ventured out to a small studio in christchurch to record their new E.p. which was self titled, after a couple of weeks in the studio and a lot of time sorting everything out the self titled Fingerprint E.P. was born. With the band currently writing their first album there are good things set for the future.
We wanna thank everyone who has been along to our shows and supported us over the past years it has been kick ass and made it all worth while, hope to see you all at the shows in the future.
"'Mr. Ears' sounds immense. Great solos, beautiful touch and wonderfully melodic...and the writing is brilliant." - Laurence Cottle
