Fredo Faya, french reggae-dancehall dee-jay/sing-jay, has written his first rhymes & Lyriks in the late 90's. With Bluman, By Kros & Solda G, he joined the Soy Di Zif Crew in Nemours (77). Few months later, he created Tryp Tikal Crew with Weed Boy in Montargis (45), in the early 2000's.
Then, leaving in Tours (37), he met major people from local reggae-dancehall scene. in this period, Fredo Faya participates in several sound systems such as Shivaya, Firetone, Positive Irie, Ride Di Vibes by recording dubplates, and by singing in gigs. This was also the time to meet rap mc's & reggaemans (particularly Zoken, Kami, Djoka, Ital General, Natural, Tommy K-Mlon, Amfatik, ...).
After 3 years in Tours, fredo Faya launches his street album called "Control TeKniK" which reflects the Tours atmosphere with featuring Zoken, Ital, Kami, ...
He then moved to Sartrouville (Paris suburb) with new ambition. In spring 2006, he launches two street tapes : The first called "bootleg 2006" with ironics lyrics and the second, "Fredo Faya & Friends - forward reggae ragga children" alongside Stone Kalaam, Magic Flow, Kami & Ital General.
This was the time for him to participate in different mixtape with tunes such as "wak mc" in Next Boom riddim (Neg A Sound Prod), "stress & mépris" in Wha Gwaan (Emanon Sound), " passons à l'offensive" in Boom Attack (Neg A Sound Prod), "situation regrettable" in Street Lyrical (NSDC Prod), "fight for freedom" (Redvybz Prod), "piège" in Easy Bongo riddim (Infinite Recordz), "parle-moi de son" in Spleen riddim (Riddim-Nation), "quand on mène" on One Shot (Madras Family) or "soit + speed" on Deal riddim (3' Records)
Then comes allway in France in May 2007 the album-bootleg "Tout n'est que dilemme" for which lots of scene were organised in Krakow (Poland) with revolda Sound, in Nantes, in Paris, in Orléans for examples.
Since, he continued to participate in many mixtape to be promoted in 2008. For the future, Fredo Faya will collaborate with Leerod Banton, Magic Flow, Infinite Recordz, Wadasé & develop solo projects.
