Harmonious Wail is one of the foremost ensembles in the Gypsy Jazz field playing today. Based in Madison, Wisconsin the band has toured the world bringing their unique sound to listeners of every background. On their latest album and their first for Range Records the “Wail” (as they are affectionately known) decided to branch out from the mode that they established on previous releases and embrace a body of work not traditionally associated with the genre.
Specifically, this meant recording songs by Tom Waits, Steely Dan, The Velvet Underground and a handful of other bands and solo artists that are generally associated with a rock music sensibility. Tackling these compositions proved to be both a challenge and also a refreshing change of pace for the members of the Wail. Recorded partially at Range's facility in Philadelphia and also in their hometown this approach allowed the band to build on their seasoned fit as players and at the same time bring in an entirely new repertoire they may not have approached in the general course of events.
From the moody and introspective version of “Home At Last” from the album Aja to the yearning Americana of “Unfaithful Servant” by The Band and of course a tasty selection of original songs like “Lung Shan Temple Chant” (inspired by their trip to China) this seductive new album is poised to place Harmonious Wail in front of a whole new audience who are sure to be deeply impressed by their talent, charm and originality.Want this widget on your page? Welcome to my page, and the add as a friend. Thanks for dropping by, I hope you found the site interesting: The Songs, The Videos, the Pictures, and my blog.
To describe myself, I am a true balladeer and a REAL folksinger. I truly an indie. I don’t have a manager, or an Agent, no recording contract and no money! (Sounds like a folk singer to me). I do it all by myself, (with a little help from my friends).
After returning from the Grand Canyon, I plan to continue with my community by providing music for Senor Centers, hospitals and schools.
I encourage you to drop by and leave a comment. You can help support by purchasing a CD (refer to my blog) or buy a track or two from the snocap player.

I prolly won't have anything going on that weekend so if nothing else, maybe I can get back to town for a few days then. If I can work it out, you'll have to meet 'em too. Talk to ya later buddy. Keep me updated!
YES! I do too, but I can't breathe, I can't sleep and my head is throbbing....I went to the Pharmacy last night and she hooked me up, so I hope with these meds I can get to feeling better. I am not coming in this afternoon to work. We might actually do that. Send a text my way and remind me, if you don't mind. I'd love to do that! We are SOOO loving our vacation time and love being around people too. the extra money we made from taking those paid surveys online helped out so much!! you should really do them too; i mean, hey, the extra money comes in handy, right? i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:

anyways, so, I will see you next Tuesday. Have a great day!
My husband is the drummer and recording engineer for two bands. His favorite project has more of a folk rock sound and they have just released their first album. They have a MySpace page where you can check out the tunes and order the CD. I hope you will.
