Una storia curiosa e unica quella dei Lingalad: gruppo italiano indipendente che suona in giro per il mondo (New York, Toronto, Bruxelles, Amsterdam…) ma ancora poco conosciuto in Italia alle masse. Invitati in Canada a suonare alla prima mondiale del film “Il Signore degli Anelli” di Peter Jackson, hanno parlato di loro Il Corriere della Sera, La Repubblica, Il Giorno, Panorama, La Voce, Tg1, Tg3, Rai International, SkyPlanet, ecc. recensioni: www.lingalad.com. Il gruppo, che finora si è sempre autoprodotto, ha realizzato quattro cd: 1) Voci dalla Terra di Mezzo (dedicato al Signore degli Anelli); 2) Il Canto degli Alberi (strumentale);
3) Lingalad in concerto (registrato nella Chiesa Vecchia di Predore); 4)Lo Spirito delle Foglie. Inoltre hanno all'attivo un dvd dal titolo I Sentieri di Lingalad (1h e 30m), che contiene tra l’altro un video in pellicola 35 mm prodotto dalla Filmaker di Asola (Mn) con la direzione della fotografia del ben noto Gigi Palumbo. I Lingalad sono ben rappresentati anche on line, dove più di 300 siti italiani e stranieri propongono notizie, interviste, curiosità e recensioni del gruppo in oltre dieci lingue diverse. Degna di nota la lettera di complimenti ricevuta da Priscilla Tolkien, figlia del Professore di Oxford. Nel 2006 il loro album Il Canto degli Alberi si è classificato al secondo posto al concorso nazionale promosso dalla TOAST RECORDS per il M.E.I. di Faenza. Il cantante del gruppo, Giuseppe Festa, ha appena pubblicato un romanzo dal titolo I Boschi della Luna. ;
In 1999 Lingalad self produced a cd, “Voices from the Midle-earth”, ispired by Tolkien’s work, putting their own music to his lyrics. This cd has received much prise from the critics. Indeed Lingalad received a letter of thanks and congratulations from Priscilla Tolkien. They have performed all around the world: in 2003 they have been invited as guest of honour at The Gathering of the Fellowship in Toronto (Canada) and in 2005 they performed in New York at Marymount Manhattan College. They also played in Bruxelles, Amsterdam, Poland and England, performing both in English and Italian. During Lingalad concerts images of the Middle-earth are projected and we offer the chance of reading a simultaneous translation of the songs on a screen. In the last 7 years Lingalad has produced 4 cds:- Voci dalla Terra di Mezzo ( Voices from Middle-earth) inspired by the book of J.R.R. Tolkien) - Il Canto degli Alberi (The Singing of the Trees), winner of the "Toast Record Prize" in 2006 - Lingalad in concert (a live performance recorded during a suggestive concert in The Old Church of Predore) - Lo Spirito delle Foglie (The Spirit of the Leaves), in which every song tells the reflections of various natural elements and living creatures: an old wolf, a leaf, a river, an ancient mountain, a young eagle, a wayfarer and so on. In december 2004 Lingalad produced the DVD “I Sentieri di Lingalad” (The paths of Lingalad), which represents a turning point in the artistic production of the band. On the dvd it is possible to see many videos, backstages, photo-albums, the video of the suggestive concert in The Old Cathedral of Predore, beside many other contents. In the dvd there is also the video of the song “Il Vecchio Lupo” (The Old Wolf), realized in 35 mm film by the renown Gigi Palumbo, one of the most highly regarded director of the photography of Italy.

complimenti per il concerto all'hobbiton..con tony è matto ci avete commosso..il vecchio lupo ci ha emozionato perchè i sentieri che percorriamo se scelti con il cuore a volte ci portano lontani da chi magari giorni addietro era nostro compagno di giochi...e anche se difficile..è la bellezza della libertà..una libertà velata di melanconia..magnifica canzone..e l'inzio con la ghironda spettacolare..venire da Roma, per sentirvi e semplicemente per vivere un giorno veneto in vostra compagnia, ne è valsa la pena!!ancora complimenti..ci rivedremo quando passerete per le strade romane..mirko e valentina
