| Muziek | I can jump from Jane's Addiction to Bach's Cello Suites to Bossa Nova to Radiohead. I also love Elbow, Nellie McKay, and most things Bowie. Things I just never ever tire of: Jane's Addiction (Nothing and Ritual), Jeff Buckley's Grace, Nick Drake, The Princess and the Warrior Soundtrack, Radiohead, Goldie's Timeless, The Swans, Fugazi's Repeater, Hugo Largo, Babes in Toyland's Fontanelle, Miles' Kind of Blue, Chet Baker, Beethoven's String Quartets. | | Films | My Neighbor Totoro (anything by Miyazaki), Blade Runner, Wings of Desire, To Kill a Mockingbird, North & South (BBC production). | | Televisie | I miss Buffy. Robin Hood and Torchwood are so-so but pale in comparison. Still, they keep me distracted. | | Boeken | The His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman rivals in greatness and beauty my other favorite: The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell, which is one of the most profound, powerful sci-fi books you will ever read. I can't recommend it enough. Wicked and Son of a Witch by Gregory Maguire--great, imaginative books with amazing characters and a subversive animal rights theme! | | Helden | Rescued farm animals. Buffy the Vampire Slayer. My cat pals Pierre and Toby. |
