Celtic Bridge plays Irish music, mixing traditional jigs and reels with popular songs. The band is available in various formats for public and private events and occasions. Resident band at The Field, Dania Beach, Florida, Celtic Bridge plays each week on Fridays and Saturdays. A three-piece version referred to as "Celtic Abridged" plays on Thursday evenings.
The band has played regularly each week at the Field for many years, and surprise guests often drop in unexpectedly. The night often ends with impromptu instrumental sessions, and tables are often pulled back for the inspired to kick their feet up. The band specializes in uptempo tunes and songs, and accepts requests for favorites and standards. The band's regular lineup currently features John Schreiber on mandolin, bass, guitar and vocals; Eamonn Dillon on whistles and uilleann pipes; and Ade Peever on guitar and vocals. A number of guest players are available to supplement the basic lineup.
Until 2006 lead vocals were supplied by Addie O'Connor. Addie still drops in for a sing occasionally; keep in touch with her adventures via her website at
addieoconnor.com.
Lead vocals are currently supplied by ade peever, whose 2006 album Green Man Said led to his acquaintance with uilleann piper Eamonn Dillon, whose work on that album led to ade subsequently joining the band.
The band regularly performs the song "Green Man Said," but the version above is excerpted from the 2006 album of the same name by band member Ade Peever. The track features uilleann pipes by Eamonn. Harmony vocals on this version are provided by the phenomenal Diane Ward.
The studio recording "Trim the Velvet" is excerpted from Eamonn Dillon's 1999 album Storm the Kettle, available from the band at shows. The band is currenly offering any combination of two albums - Eamonn's Keep 'Er Lit and Storm the Kettle, and ade's Green Man Said, for $20. Single albums are $15 each.
