„dream catcher“ is John Rech’s solo project. The former T42 singer is a well-known festival promoter in his country as well as Ezio’s manager. T42 was one of the most renown Luxembourgish bands between 1990 and 2005 and toured most of Europe, including the Czech Republic in 1992. They opened for the biggest international acts, such as Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson (sorry about that), Alanis Morrissette and many more).
If „dream catcher“ have kept T42’s live dynamic, the songs written by John Rech, Eric Falchero and Marcus Praed are far more refined and emotional.
In 1998, the release of their first EP “happy in my tree house” underlined the band’s strong hit potential. 8 years later, the single is still one of the most played songs on local radio stations.
In 2003, John and Eric Falchero wrote the theme song, “deng Hand”, for the Télévie Campaign. The single went straight to number 1 in the charts and reached gold status within a couple of weeks. Enjoying this collaboration, the two rented a house in the South of France and wrote a couple of new songs, including the single “verluer”, for an EP called “3” released in early 2005, just before dream catcher supported Ezio on their German Tour in March. The band’s performance was astonishing and the multilingual set (English, French and Luxembourgish) found a great response.
2006 saw the release of the first complete album “sunny days”. The single (also called „sunny days“) supported the 2006 Télévie campaign and jumped straight to the top spot of the national charts. Luxembourg is a cultural and linguistic multi-pot and that’s exactly what this album is about. From English Pop to French Chanson “au flamingo rose”, including the U2esque “verluer”, the multi-cultural musicians enjoy bathing in many stiles and languages. The following tour was highlighted by support slots for Sting or Gentleman as well as 3 gigs in New York.
dream catcher is currently preparing the follow-up to “sunny days”.
