DJ MARCUS NASTY began djing in 1998 with his first show on Flava fm in 1999. Marcus knew he could offer more to the music industry, so by bringing in vocalists, mc's & rappers from around the UK, he formed the group N.A.S.T.Y. The 1st mc's alongside Marcus were Sharky Major & Stormin'. Together they started gaining recognition amoungst the underground circuit and recruited the top dj/mc's in the game - DJ Mac 10 and the best UK artists they could get involved - Nasty Jack, Hyper, Griminal, Little Nasty, Kano, D double e, Ghetto, Demon, Footsie, Monkey, Jammer, Kassimo, Younger and 45. Marcus also helped to produce some of the more commercial artists on the streets of today.. Bookings started coming in fast with tours in Ayia Napa, Amsterdam, Sweden and Germany. Marcus Nasty continued gaining recognition in the music industry and was recognised also as a solo performing artist. Marcus mixes Funky House & Old Skool and now plays strictly UKhouse regularly on WWW.RINSE.FM / 100.4 FM each and every weds 7-9pm GMT. It is not only a House/Garage thing for him, as Marcus is versatile and is open to all options within the game, including hosting UK undergound chart shows. He has also been on many top Radio stations as a guest such as Kiss fm, BBC Radio 1, Radio 1xtra and Choice fm. Marcus is known for being the person who has pioneered the UKhouse scene and has played at the best and biggest clubs, showcases and events in the UK such as Sun City, Sidewinder, Download, La Cosa Nostra, As It Is Tv, Rememberance, Nice & Niche, Rainforest Cafe, GarageNation, Carling Academy, Funky Nation,ChockaBlock, Plush, Brunei rooms (Swindon), Club Liberty, Old Skool Pressure, Back2Napa, Jam Pak and Ministy of sound just to name a few. Marcus has also been nominated in the category of 'Best Old Skool Dj', for the People's Choice Sidewinder Awards. Presently, Marcus is now the top UKhouse dj in Ayia Napa and has been for the past two years, and is due to make apperances in Napa, Famagusta, Malia, Magaluf, Eygpt and Gambia!!!! Marcus has also worked alongside some of the BIG names within the UK urban music scene including David Rodigan, Dj Cameo, Skepta, JME, Mike "ruff cut" Lloyd, Dj Ironik, Wiley, Scottie B, Supa D, Jammie Duggan, Mc Creed, Hotsteppa, Dj Murks, Mc Rankin, Dj Pioneer, Roll Deep, Sharky P, HLC, EZ, Ras Kwame, Dj Footloose and not forgeting his Brothers Mak 10, Lil Nasty and Griminal. Marcus is also known as the King of DVD's as he has appeared on many UK street dvd's airing his views, but getting to the point and being real about it, that is what Marcus Nasty is REAL.
