Cricket is a Louisville, Kentucky rock group that was originally formed in the winter of 1995. The band was co-founded by drummer Robert Fields and his first cousin guitarist Jonathan Graybeal. Graybeal left the band in the late 90's. Fields followed suit shortly after in early 2001 putting the band on hiatus. In 2004 younger brothers Justin and Benjamin Fields reformed the group. They recorded two albums, Motel Magazine and Sofa City Sweethart. After the recording of Sofa City, Justin Fields decided to depart the band. That set up a short stint with Matthew Texter on drums and Jeremy Winkie on bass. When Texter decided that he needed to leave the band to focus on college it left the door open for original drummer Robert Fields to rejoin the band. He convinced original bassist Steven Hughes to jump back on board with him and then they added a rhythm guitarist Joseph Webb. Now the band is back together as a four piece and planning their next rock n' roll assault. Stay tuned to see what happens.
