Knoxville, TN's own Gran Torino (1995-2003) put out 4 albums of some of the southeast's best funky music. Led by frontman Chris Ford, Gran Torino toured excessively for 8 years playing to countless sold out audiences. This page has been set up for all the fans of the band as a place to connect with the band and other fans as well. More to come!!!!
What an awesome band. Probably the best show i have ever seen or been a part of. These guys are the coolest, we partied pretty hard back in the day, haha (remember Portland, ME on halloween with rustic? or at that private party at Washington and Lee Univ in VA) A reunion show would be great but a reunion tour would be even better!!
Don't forget about The Pressure Boys reunion concerts this weekend at the Cat's Cradle. Friday, May 2nd is sold out but there are tickets available for the Sat. May 3rd show. All proceeds go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Ahh, the memories. The Blind Tiger, Ziggy's, Cat's Cradle, Be Here Now, and best of all, The Casbah!!!!!! Too many fun nights with Gran Torino to count!!!
We used to love going to your shows back in the day. Happy to hear that there are some new projects in the works. Thanks for the comment and let us know if you guys ever need any gear. :)
Hey Guys, Thanks for the add!!! You guys ROCK!!! It has been years since I first saw you all in Asheville at one of the best venues ever "Be Here Now" plus the numerous other times I have witnessed the spectacular live shows put on by you guys!! Please come back to Asheville, or anywhere really, I'll travel. Please keep me up to date. Thanks
Okay, yall better come play a show in Atlanta, and I BETTER know about it if it happens! :)
One more thing...did I just have an out of body experience, or did I just hear a Gran Torino song on a re-run of Dawson's Creek? I about fell off my couch.
This is a great flashback to the good ole days. Oh, those were the days.
And, while dining at a restaurant in Atlanta last week called Two, the restaurant was playing the entire GT album Two. Maybe a reunion show in Atlanta is called for?
