As soon as she could reach the keys, she played. And she keeps on playing – crafting music in the flickering space where light and dark dance – drawing resource from the jazz greats, the classical maestros, and the blues legends.
Adey Garner, daughter of two concert organists, was born under the wide northern sky of Kalispell, Montana. Her music reflects this expanse. She lures audiences with her textured, melodic piano and warms them with a voice as gritty with soul as it is soaring with ambiance and mystery.
After two years with her debut project Vintage Argyle, Adey moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to begin a solo career. In 2007 she released "Not Enough" – an EP that has earned her a growing base of loyal Northern California fans. Performing regularly throughout the Bay, her concerts evoke a mesmerizing range of emotion. Her vulnerability draws audiences close as if a welcome fire on a chilled night. In Adey's lyricism and passionate piano, one hears echoes of Joni Mitchel, Tori Amos and Beth Gibbons. She is currently at work on her first full length solo album.
