Armenian Musicians & Artists Center Inc. is a California based non-profit organization, was founded in 1994 by songwriter and guitarist Tigran Mousoian. Mr. Mousoian had three main goals: the first was to preserve and advance the Armenian culture; the second to create a relationship among the artists so that they will be able to show their work and to interact and escape their loneliness; and third to present the works of these artists to audiences outside of the Armenian community.
In 1989, Mr. Mousoian had established Tapan Productions. He produced music videos, commercials, theatrical performances, and more.
Later in 1995, he founded Tapan II TV program, which was used as an avenue to present artists and their work. Throughout the 12 years of airing the show, Mr. Mousoian has stayed true to his three goals.
Today, Tapan II TV is the only show in the community, where all members of the production are recipients of a B.A. degree in Cinema Television Arts. (You can watch Tapan II TV every Monday 9:30-10:00 on Charter Communications Channel 25 in the Glendale, Burbank, La Crescenta areas and on Mondays 10:00-10:30 on Adelphia Cable Channel 24 Public Access in the Hollywood area)
A.M.A.C. Inc. has hosted many events that have helped artists expose their work to the public, for example in 1995, he helped organize Armenian Cultural Festival in Van Nuys, CA.
In 1996, we organized the third Armenian Rock Festival in Glendale, CA. (The first two Rock Festivals were organized by Mr. Mousoian in Yerevan, Armenia in 1986 and 1987.)
In 1997, he organized Tapan Music Video Awards in Glendale, CA.
In 1999 he organized Artists Honorary Evening in Glendale, CA.
In 2001, he organized a show celebrating the 6th anniversary of Tapan II TV. The event included a music program and a fashion show. For more history about the organization, visit us at www.amacinc.org
Currently Mr. Mousoian is organizing another Armenian Rock Festival to be held on June 24, 2007 at the Glendale Civic Auditorium. Check out the flier for more info.

As families prepare to gather for Easter and participate in Genocide commemorative activities in the month of April, Armenian National Committee of America Executive Director Aram Hamparian issues a nationwide CALL TO ACTION - urging anti-genocide activists to call Pres. Obama and their Representatives to end U.S. complicity in Turkey's denial of the Armenian Genocide.
Earlier this week, Pres. Obama missed a key opportunity to honor his pledge to recognize the Armenian Genocide during his visit to Turkey. As Genocide Prevention Month continues, he will have many opportunities to stand by his January 18, 2008 statement: "America deserves a leaderwho speaks truthfully about the Armenian Genocide and responds forcefully to all genocides. I intend to be that President. "

"Unified Young Armenians" Organization is the only independent Armenian youth movement of its kind. For years, the Organization has been in forefronts of fight against denial of the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish Government. Also, it has served as a catalyst for action among the Armenian youth. With its broad support among the community, "Unified Young Armenians" has served as a unifying factor for the community. On April 24th, 1 out of every 4 Armenians takes part in the march in Little Armenia, Hollywood, making it the biggest event outside our Homeland. This success is the direct result of the Organization's total independence from any political or religious entities.
As the last email indicated, we are about to restart the activities of the Organization. In this spirit, we would be gathering in Verdugo Park AT 11:00 A.M. THIS COMING SATURDAY JULY 22, 2008. REFRESHMENTS will be provided. PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED TO GET INVOLVED. WE HOPE TO SEE THE MEMBERS OF THE ALUMNI (THE PAST MEMBERS OF THE GROUP)ALSO IN THIS EVENT.
While this would not be a formal meeting, we would like to point out that it would not be a social event. We hope that you could bring in your ideas regarding the future of the Organization. As of today, we have partnered up with City of Glendale's Neighborhood Services Department (Neighborhood Services) in their Adopt-A-Block Program (http://www. ci. glendale. ca. us/cdh/aab. asp). This is a great opportunity for us to show our commitment to the city which we live, work, and go to school in.
