Dennis Paull Graue
Galactic Kiss
Dennis Paull Graue has worked professionally in Hawaii’s music industry since the
1970’s, composing, performing, and recording for a variety of famous artists. As a
result, Dennis has become famous in his own right for his talents as a pianist, live
performer and computer sequencer, mastering a wide range of musical styles from
classical, ethereal, and big band to pop, jazz and Hawaiian.
Dennis was born in Hawaii and moved to Southern California at an early age. He
immediately became interested in music, and his perfect pitch led him to music lessons
on practically every instrument in the orchestra. While his father (well known television
host and radio show host Kenneth Graue) worked at KTLA Channel 5 Television in
Hollywood, Dennis was taking French horn, oboe/bassoon and piano lessons. He also
played the trumpet, sax, and the drums in the marching band. During his high school
years he was already playing professional gigs in the L.A./Hollywood/Pasadena area,
and was working with his dad conducting on location sound for the News Department
at Channel 5. Right after high school Dennis joined the Army, and was eventually
discharged back home in Hawaii in the early 1970’s. Since then, he has become a
musical icon in Hawaii recording and playing with some of the best talent on the
Islands. He has toured Japan, Micronesia, Polynesia, Saipan, Guam, the Mid-West
and West Coast states with Cecilio and Kapono and recorded ”Life’s different Now” in
Seattle while on the road with them. Dennis has also toured the entire mainland U.S.A
with the Don Ho Band. Additionally, Dennis is responsible for producing, writing and
performing on four of Nohelani Cypriano’s C.D.’s which won two “Na Hoku Hanohano”
awards (local Hawaiian grammy awards) for “Album of the Year” and “Female Vocalist
of the Year.”
Dennis has released 2 C.D.'s, "Dennis Paull Graue," and "Galactic Kiss" which
are available on digital download sites." He is currently working on his 3rd C.D.,
entitled "Quest."
