In 2003 and 2004 The Legends received world wide recognition with the hyped debut ”Up against the Legends”. Now The Legends return with an album that is bound to take the world by surprise. ”Public Radio” echoes of the early 80’s and sounds futuristic at the same time. They mix influences from bands like New Order, Felt, Feelies and The Cure with their own pop aesthetics and turn it into something utterly wonderful and new.
From the debut to now The Legends have transformed from a 9-piece band to a one-man project. At least officially. The truth is that both ”Up against the Legends” and ”Public Radio” were recorded, written, played and produced by Johan Angergård (also member of Acid House Kings and Club 8). Johan explain:
- "When I start recording an album I have a very clear idea of what I want to do and by doing everything myself the album comes out exactly the way I want it to. Involving other people might only blur the vision."
New album "PUNTO LUCE" out now!!! After their great debut release "Fantasia Meccanica", the italian act HIDDEN PLACE return with an all new and long-expected album! "PUNTO LUCE" continues along the same pathtraced by its predecessor. Deep sonorities are alternated with moments of emotionalism and refinement, underlined above all by more atmospheric sounds, that constantly influence this album. Harmonious female vocals from the beautiful singer Sara Lux are opposed with the cold tones of the vocoder. An elegant mix of electro and new wave give a precise evocation of art, of the painting of a picture, of the beauty of colours and light. The album also features vocal and mixing contributions from Gaby Nekro of NEKRODAMUS.
