I guess I could say everything, because if I have never tried something before, (artisticly speaking) then I'm interested. My main interests are #1 my family, reading, crocheting, and my art work.
Muziek
My favorite music is music being written and performed by local artists, but my all time favorites are: Phil Pearson, Shelly Phelps, John Randolph, Gregg Standridge, Lew Hall, The Simoleons, Elizagay, Jocelyn Yard, and B. and Lanada Hickerson. Most of these musicians have a myspace page so go check them out.

I love books for entertainment and instruction. A good mystery is hard to beat for entertainment. I am constantly checking out the online books offered by my local library, but for the instructional books I still have to go to the library in person.
Since there is not a field for fine arts (visual) I will put it here. My sub- field will be painting and drawing. Role will be visual artists of fine art.

Info over mijzelf: ARTIST STATEMENT :
My first exposure to painting was when I was in elementary school. My parents gave me a huge paint by number set, almost larger than myself, of “Pinky” and “Blue Boy”. The originals are “Sarah Barrett Moulton Pinkie”, by Thomas Lawrence and “Jonathan Butall; The Blue Boy”, by Thomas Gainsborough, respectively. I was so captivated by painting that my mother had to stop me many times just to eat. I find the beauty and versatility of transparent watercolor compelling and its challenges stimulating, enabling me to communicate my ideas and feelings more eloquently. I love to drop pure color onto wet paper and watch it move and mingle; creating patterns, shapes, and beautiful color combinations. This is the magical moment for me. It is the revelation of a new work. I begin with a general idea, based on a mood, memory, or dream. I choose the colors that I feel will best represent my idea, and then begin dropping color. It is my belief that with concentrated focus on my idea, it will express itself with the first and subsequent brush stroke; from there I rely on my technique and training to take it to fruition.

Wie ik zou willen ontmoeten: I would like to network with other visual artists that paint or draw and are at almost 30 years old. The age thing just makes it easier for this old lady to relate.
Hi Pat, just dropping by to say hello since I haven't seen you in awhile. BTW, I really loved your self-portrait. Would love to see more of your art so keep John and I informed of your next show!
