GIANNI BARDARO SINESTETIC JAZZ is an open and travelling modern jazz project, created and lead by the Italian saxophonist and composer Gianni Bardaro. The international jazz quartet (Italy/Denmark) is "...a clear example of new jazz vibes" and offers a young, fresh but precise sound with a clear understanding of its musical direction. The critically acclaimed quartet is based in Copenhagen and it has been blessed with very well attended concerts together with excellent reviews both at home and abroad. The music is primarily original compositions and arrangements by Gianni Bardaro, inspired by the Synaesthesia phenomen . Synaesthesia means a mixture of sensory inputs, it can be defined as an emotional experience which causes a confusion of the senses. In other words, "synaesthesia” is a confluence and mutual intermingling of different sensory inputs: can one taste a colour? Can one touch a scent? Can one see the sound of the music?...It is not a coincidence that the music of the saxophonist and his quartet / quintet seem to translate emotional states generated by a multitude of sensations in a fresh and innovative jazz language, which winds between various musical influences and not only, involving an alive backround where is possible to feel Latin, Mediterranean and Scandinavian moods. With less then 3 years of activity, the band is expanding internationally its vibes gaining excellent results. After the successfull debut CD titled "Overflow" Gianni Bardaro and his band are making ready the next recording for the winter 2009.

Das internationale Quintett (Italien / Dänemark / Norwegen) ist ein "deutliches Beispiel des neuen Jazz-Vibes" und bietet einen jungen, frischen, aber präzisen Klang mit einem klaren Verständnis für seine musikalische Richtung. Die Band hat ihren Sitz in Kopenhagen und wurde auf ihren sehr gut besuchten Konzerten, unter anderem im Ausland, mit extrem deutlich positiver Kritik bewertet. Velbesøgte koncerter og positive anmeldelser har fulgt gruppen både herhjemme og i udlandet. Musikken består især af Gianni Bardaros egne kompositioner. Synæstesi – jf. navnet – betyder sammenblanding af sanseindtryk, og det er netop, hvad det hele handler om. Kan man smage en farve? Kan man røre ved en duft? Kan man se lyden af musikken? "Gianni Bardaro è un eccezionale musicista, solista, compositore e arrangiatore. La sua musica è giovane ed eccitante, allo stesso tempo matura e ricca di groove…tutti i brani del CD coinvolgeranno l’ascoltatore in un viaggio e in un’avventura d’illuminazione musicale. Qualunque fan avido di jazz sarà grandiosamente intrattenuto con questo CD.

SINESTETIC JAZZ es un proyecto de jazz moderno itinerante en permanente expansión, creado y liderado por el saxofonista italiano Gianni Bardaro. El quinteto internacional (Italia-Dinamarca-Noruega) es un “evidente ejemplo de nuevas vibraciones del jazz” que ofrece un sonido absolutamente nuevo, joven y fresco pero con un puntual entendimiento en su dirección musical.
La banda basada en Copenhague ha sido reconocida con una aclamada asistencia de público en sus numerosos conciertos, con una extrema positividad en diferentes criticas que ha recibido en casa así como también fuera de ella. Gianni Bardaro basa principalmente su música en arreglos y composiciones originales.
Sinestesia –significa la mezcla de impresiones de sentidos diferentes, y es precisamente esto de lo que se trata. Puede alguien degustar un color? Puede alguien tocar un olor? Puede alguno ver el sonido de la música? Gianni Bardaro con “Sinestetic Jazz” traduce la experiencia sinestética en un deleite jazzístico musical, con un toque latino, mediterráneo y escandinavo.
El proyecto esta integrado por el noruego Lars Soberg-Trompeta; el italiano Francesco Calí-Piano y los daneses Andreas Hatholt-Bajo y Jacob Hatholt-Bateria, liderando el grupo Gianni Bardaro-Saxofon. La banda con base en la capital Danesa obtiene una excelente actividad en el norte de Europa con diferentes reconocimientos y participaciones en notables eventos internacionales.
