Since it’s debut in 1992, Joël Tremblay, the ex-bass player of Capitalist Alienation (1985), formed Overbass in 1992. Overbass has been spreading the original sound of two basses! Recognized to be one of the most influential and respected band in Quebec’s 90' alternative music scene. Overbass also combine 4 diffrents languages and cultures in their music, Overbass is also known to be one of the top independent DYI profilers and, for sure, one of the best live acts. Overbass's eclectic style comes from various sources such as the Mexican roots of the charismatic singer/lyricist Shantal Arroyo, the Spanish and progressive rhythms of Miguels Perez on keyboards, the aggressive groove of Serge Morin on drums as well as the frenetic doom-style bass lines of jetho and Joel. Overbass creates a whole new world of original sounds and crazy rhythms inspired by international folklore, hardcore, punk and metal music with lyrics in English, French and Spanish. The band likes to call itself a “multicultural hardcore hybrid”. REVOLUTION, their fourth album to date, was produced together with Overbass respected friend Fermin Muguruza and is a scream for revolution and for hope and faith to those who are oppressed as well as to those who achieved true freedom. Featuring guest appearances from the punk girls band Beauty Drop Out and from Nathalie Raymond of Kaleidoscopik’s fame, REVOLUTION is packed with Triple-A tracks (including a sensational cover of Cindy Lauper's hit “Girls just wanna have fun!”) and is sure to transform your sonic karma and introduce you to a whole new kind of music experience.

- The charismatic lead signer Shantal Arroyo collaborated with several bands like Grimskunk, Groovy Aardvark, Anonymus, Fermin Muguruza and King Chango, just to name a few… She has also been the artistic director and production manager since 1992 of one of the biggest venue in Montreal, the legendary Foufounes Électriques underground temple. Together with Joël Tremblay, they created the Del Toro Music & records(www.deltoromusic.com) in the year 2000 and are now working on their Colectivo project with several other leaders of Montreal’s underground scene. It's been a busy year for me and the crew. Just finished working with (in no particular order) Kid Rock, George Michael, Crosby Stills Nash, Monty Python (Spamalot), Billy Idol, Stevie Wonder, REM, Jesus Christ Superstar, Iron Maiden, Etc Etc. the list goes on...
We helped build life-size inflatable robot dinosaurs. They looked real with the right lighting, sound FX, and proper puppetry. The huge set and stage design helped the illusion. We turned GMPlace into a post-modern prehistoric jungle scene. Back stage, the dinosaurs weren't quite so ferocious so we managed to get a few good photos.
