novaTRON
The sonic wizard that exists on this Earth as novaTRON is a designer of musical experience that defies all categorization. An animal like no other, novaTRON creates completely original beats that are improvised on the fly on the Tron Box, a self-constructed constellation of audio hardware that includes KORG’s EMX, ESX x2, KP3, KP2, Koassilator, and a Roland SP404. The music born from the marriage of the mind of a mad scientist and the Tron Box is a unique symphony of breakbeats, a reality twisted into a science of experimentation that combines to form an aural experience that can only be lived in the present. NovaTRON’s organic live sets capture the ephemeral nature of art and existence and strap it down with a thick layer of bass before letting it go on it’s way out to the world and into your body. His beats take you on a trip through multiple realms of reality with a professor of phunk at the helm; his music is created of the dance floor, by the dance floor, and for the dance floor. NovaTRON is a master of the moment who continues to push the limits of electronica with each and every new set.
m.0
m.0 (em.point.zero) is Maurice Jackson, a composer, producer, and sound designer who now hails from the streets of Seattle. Representing the Innerflight and From 0-1 music collectives, m.0 has been involved in a diverse array of musical projects, from the co-founding of Tekgnosis (glitch, techno, madness), designing sound for the Myst video game franchise, and creating the NCIS TV theme song, to name a few. After touring with the bands Nerve Factor and Deathline International for seminal industrial label COP International and remixing and producing several COP artists, m.0 has rediscovered his techno roots and currently drops sick psychedelic and electro-inspired beats for eager dance crowds who lap up his techno mixes like dying patients begging for an antidote.
J-Sun
J-Sun (Jason Zucker) is one of the ringleaders of the Seattle electronic scene and has been involved in creating music as well as the community here for almost fifteen years. He is the founder of record label/DJ crew/party-makers Innerflight Music and as such has been responsible for the production of a ridiculous number of electronic events and the many smiles that accompany them. As a DJ, J-Sun has accumulated a loyal following, enamored with his exuberant energy, deep crates, and heady get-down style. His potent programming and lucid mixology never fail to gather the rabble-rousers together to dance to his psychedelic underground house and techno sounds. Whether you find him spinning at a laser-drenched club in the city or outside in the forests of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, J-Sun is a bright-shining fixture on the region’s electronic music scene.
Kadeejah Streets
Innerflight resident Kadeejah Streets has a monopoly on the booty shakin’ beats in Seattle’s clubs. His sets are the ones you hear at the club while talking with friends, and after every three songs find yourself asking “who is this DJ?” Moments later you’re joining the masses on the dance floor in a beat-inspired bonanza. A perfect mix of nü-rave bangers and old-school jams, Kadeejah’s sets are glorious testaments to the persuasive power of a DJ’s mood. With dexterous hands, this musical master turns the underground upside down and shakes it like a Magic 8-Ball, ensuring that you will howl at the moon with your eyes rolled back in your head.
Rhines
One of Innerflight's OG DJs, Rhines has recently arrived as a permanent fixture on the Seattle scene. Having co-produced club nights and underground events in and around the Los Angeles area, as well as outdoor events all over Southern California and Mexico, and known for taking his dj sets to the next level, continuously rocking crowds time and again, Rhines has developed a style and honed a technique that is all his own. Playing prime selections of Progressive, Electro, Tech, House and Breakbeats, his style is difficult to pin down, as his sets tend to defy the idea of genres, incorporating multiple styles into a fluid, cohesive mixed set that becomes something new every time. A love for rhythm and syncopation, movement and energy, and that deep, dark and dirty bass has always been the driving force behind his mixing, programming, and track selection. Formerly playing alongside his longtime dj partner, the tag-team-dynamic-duo of JP & Rhines hypnotized dancefloors making each track they dropped their own. Break the Beat or Four to the Floor... Rhines is tapping into new dimensions of aural satisfaction with his infectious sound.
Packy
Innerflight's secret weapon is DJ Packy. One of those people that's hard to describe, Packy has spent many years perfecting the art of mixing and it shows. Seamlessly crossing from genre to genre, Packy glues you to the floor with a contagious smile and energy unmatched by many. A true performer, Packy jumps up and down while teasing the crowd with unpredictable sets from techno to house and anything in between. Afterhours tend to be his specialty, but no matter what time it is, the music is always appropriate and turning heads. Packy's Innerflight wings have taken him up and down the west coast playing events for Shameless, Uniting Souls and Booty Resin. He currently resides in Portland and hosts a monthly event at Pala called "What?" Rumor has it that Packy is shifting gears and spending more time in the studio to bring you the sounds that exist in his head. Stay tuned... and until we are graced with his own sick beats, go dance, listen and smile alongside Packy as he takes you on an ever-evolving musical journey.
Manos
An integral part of the Innerflight record label and music collective, Manos exemplifies a fresh and funky groove that pulses with prismatic energy to stimulate the mind, open the heart, and move the body. His distinctly playful, trickster style is expressed in his namesake, taken from an evil deity in an obscure 1960s low-budget horror movie. But it's not all cheap thrills with Manos...
Known for dosing Seattle dance floors with everything from acid-laden techno and house to reverie-inducing experimental and starry-eyed electronica, his musical adventures traverse divergent sonic terrains but nearly always venture into psychedelic territory. Legend has it that Manos' kaleidoscopic style crystallizes during the enchanted wee hours of the morning, where his intuition and intention twinkle within his signature "breakfast-style" sets, providing a feast for the ears and flights of fantasy for the mind. At once sensuous and sentient, bizarre and macabre, his motley assortment of muses include the mid 90s Minneapolis EDM scene of his youth, industrial, punk, and hip-hop albums of the late 80s/early 90s, and his father's record collection. Presently, this penchant for dissent and the transgressive has aligned with his bohemian spirit, awakening an enigmatic yet unmistakable artistic sensibility that resonates on multiple levels with dancers and heads alike.
If you're looking for Manos, you won't find him catering to the tastes of the masses or scanning top downloads for beats. You're more likely to catch him digging for overlooked and abstruse musical treasures or dabbling with his own sounds in the studio, where he's been refocusing his energy since 2008. Whether rocking an all-night underground party at the break of dawn or sharing the bill with such diverse megawatt talents as: The Flashbulb, Three, Phil Western, Mike Monday, Noah Pred, Bassnectar, Freaky Chakra, or Luke Solomon, Manos consistently funks up the dance floor, shaking the booties and expanding the minds of the vibrant Northwest underground of which he is a passionate and deeply rooted element.
Night Train (live harmonica)
Harp Attack!! Cruising the universe on his harmonica spaceship, the Night Train just probably graced a venue near you. Plugging into mixers from Ballard to Capitol Hill to SODO, this local favorite adds edgy and innovative sounds to electronic dance floors across town. Choosing from his bandolero straps of harmonicas, the Night Train .... If you're crossing the bridge between digital and analog, you'll probably end up catching a ride on the Night Train.
