Jasmine Solano is easily what one would classify a rare breed.
Mastering the roles of a notable disc jockey, artist and self-proclaimed “Mistress of Ceremonies” it’s clear to see that Solano’s work ethic is not one to question. DJ, Music Maker and MTV Iggy Host, Jasmine Solano is a world traveling, bonafide icon in the making. Just returning from DJing in Singapore for the Social Star Awards, Canada for her ‘Electric Punanny’ tour, Europe spinning inParis & London and Los Angeles for The Do-Over — Jasmine is never not on the go.

Jasmine’s career began on the radio, WERS 88.9FM at 17 years old. Following an international tour with punk-rock / hip-hop group Ninjasonik in 2009, Solano was also the only female to serve as an opening act at 2009′s Rock The Bells. Her debut visuals for her anthem track “That’s Not It,” was directed by Vashtie and has gained on-air play on MTVu as well as a feature on MTV.

In 2010, Solano went on the road with Wiz Khalifa as his official DJ for the “Deal Or No Deal Tour.” Solano had the opportunity to perform & DJ in front of nation-wide, 60 city sold out tour. Solano was also graced with the opportunity to make Beyonce move a tail feather as she was the in-house DJ for her album release party in Harlem.

As time continues, more supreme looks came Solano‘s way, including a fashionable spot in Jay Z’s “That’s Rocawear” fall campaign, Dr. Jays Holiday Dj campaign and Married To The Mob‘s Summer 2011 Lookbook. In working closely with Redbull, Solano was made an official “Redbull Opinion Leader”, as they sponsor many of her events. Aside from her overwhelming online presence, Solano has been featured in UK’s Mix Mag as well asPaper Magazine, for two consecutive years. As a long time friend of the brand Burton, Solano was asked to officially become a “Burton Girl“, blogging exclusively for the site BurtonGirls.com. In December 2011, Nike Sportswear featured Solano in their Holiday Lookbook. In 2012, Solano was also asked to curate the music forMelanie Fiona’s Ojon Event in NYC as well as Target’s Brooklyn Museum’s premiere DJ, spinning for over 10,000 people.

Solano’s international party, “Electric Punanny” that she runs with acclaimed producer / DJ MeLo-X has gone from a monthly NYC gathering to a global phenomenon featured recently by MTV Iggy. Collaborating with guests such as Major Lazer, Theophilus London, Jovi Rockwell, Chuck Inglish and many more – “Electric Punanny” is now at the forefront for presenting today’s newest clashes of music and culture.

Most recently, Solano premiered her anticipated debut, RAP, with Complex Magazine. Prior to the release of the EP, featured song “One on One” featuring Yelawolf, and the video for “Cruisin’” were released, which both gained a rack of good responses and feedback. And 2013 has gotten off to a great start with DJ releases for the W Hotel, WeSC and features in Cosmo Mag, Elle Girl Japan and Creem Mag.
