   About Jesci
CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO PURCHASE THE VINTAGE SOUL EP.

"The debut EP, Vintage Soul, is filled with hook-laden ambient pop tunes" and "rich sounds that will ring both new and familiar". - Heidi Antocicco

"Vintage Soul is simultaneously slick and earnest and, above all, uncommonly interested in seeding your brain with jangly melodies."

-Jimmy Fowler - Fort Worth Weekly

"Texas is more than just country twang. Jesci is just the type of artist that is contributing to this movement with a brand of pop-rock that can appeal to just about anybody. His songs are filled with rich sounds that will ring both new and familiar."

-Heidi Antocicco - Springolo.com

ARTIST'S PERSONAL NOTE: "Life's winds of change sometimes make this a transitional journey at times, but never-the-less, the long awaited follow-up to Vintage Soul is well underway and in progress. Release date is undetermined at the moment but rest assured, it will come. Patience is a virtue and I am tried with this time and time again. I want nothing more than to complete this work of art and with the appropriate timing, of which I hope is very soon, you will benefit as much as I in some way. Thank you all for the support, faith and belief in me and that this will be a moving reality in due time."

Avant-garde in his approach, singer/songwriter Jess Romigh, who's music exhibits an eclectic variety of style and genre, has been in the process of writing and recording new songs for a second release. The release of Vintage Soul, his first independently released CD in 2005 under the moniker "Jesci", only freed the opportunity to start a album with songs and ideas that had already been in the works.

Born in Orange County, California, Jesci has traveled many roads that led to the current one as a solo artist. Through his unique blend of music, he sings of life's dreams, triumphs and tragedies in a confident yet intimate vocal style. His soulful delivery is marked by a subtlety that is at times ethereal. Laced with pop sensibility, a modern edge and southern flare, his infusive lyrical expressions weave passionate stories through memorable, timeless songs.

One of many noteworthy past musical experiences is the former band Milkshake, an eight member alternative funk band, complete with DJ and horn players. Jess and his former band mates formed Milkshake in Dallas, Texas and then moved to Portland Oregon, home of then bandmate and bassist John Fucciolo, where they grew the monster band and released the independent CD, Quiver, on J-Bird Records. It was then that he discovered his real roots in song writing and began to develop a unique style, experimenting with various kinds of music, as the band set no musical boundaries and gave the freedom to play anything from rock to reggae.

After the dis-banding of Milkshake, Jess continued to write and seek out new avenues with his songwriting. There were quite a few talented musicians that teamed up for live shows and recordings with Jess, and for a time the group was dubbed Jesci & the Collective. Individually talented musicians in their own right, they helped fill out the live shows and recordings while pursueing their own musical endeavors. Some of the players have included, Keith Bryant (bass), Drew Hunter (drums), Nathan Adamson (drums), Dana Sudborough (percussion), Dan Crawford (drums) and Jason Bennet (guitar). Live performances by Jesci & the Collective were nothing short of energetic and soulful, as they brought a variety of musical style, rhythm and emotion.

Jess continues to perform acoustic sets and plans to put a band together for the new release. Meanwhile, there is quite a bit of work to be done for the yet untitled new album.

Visit the web site www.jesci.com for more details and to get the debut EP, Vintage Soul.
