MusicI adore music, the music that I feel drawn to is something I find vital and inspirational, music brings so much to my life, I don't know what I would do without it. So many people I have encountered in my life seem merely content to let the radio, the media, and marketing companies dictate what they should listen to, I've never understood that kind of passive reaction to music. I'm constantly searching for new music to transcend the blandness of everyday existence. My drive for music is pretty fuckin' insatiable. I enjoy the ragggaaarrrrgggghhhh and the exquisitely pretty. Shimmery and spiky. Transcendent and nefarious.
Jaimz loves (In no particular order..) glassjAw, Strapping Young Lad + Devin Townshend solo stuff, Queen Adreena, Psydoll, Stolen Babies, Radiohead, Meg Lee Chin, New Way Home, deftones, tool, Primus, Second Theory, Mr. Bungle (and pretty much everything Mike Patton is / was involved in), Secret Chiefs 3, theSTART, Flatstick, Pzychobitch, Autechre, Failure, Daisy Chainsaw, Peaches, Squarepusher, Ladytron, Codeine Like Candy, Moloko, Big Black, Sugarcubes, Poison The Well, Team Sleep, Look What I Did, Kidney Thieves, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Jesus Lizard, Grim Faeries, Tapeworm, Oceansize, Mindless Self Indulgence, Opeth, Melt Banana, Johnny Hollow, Blood Brothers, Cripple Mr Onion, My Ruin, Vast, Cranes, Sad Music For Happy Humans, HORSE the Band, Eurythmics, A Perfect Circle, (the) Vanishing, Sikth, (Hed)pe, Pearl Jam (some of it), He Is Legend, Rasputina, Otep, The Pixies, Aphex Twin, Devo, Gorillaz, Schoolyard Heroes, Headless Chickens, Grotus, Carcass, Porcupine Tree, Estradasphere, Malenky Robot, Nine Inch Nails, Bat For Lashes, John Zorn, Sevendust, Botch, Jeff Buckley, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, The Residents, At The Drive-In, Danny Elfman, Puscifer, Boards Of Canada, Skinny Puppy, oldskool Fear Factory, Devil Driver, Animal Collective, Lamb Of God, Kate Bush, Atari Teenage Riot + Alec Empire / Hanin Elias / Nic Endo solo works, Gigglebox, Miss Kittin, Arcana, Dieselboy, Black Dice, The Birthday Massacre, Queen, Ophelia's Dream, Soundgarden, CocoRosie (cos their stuff is just so damned strange), The Mars Volta, Portishead, Jakob, Will Haven, John Frusciante solo stuff (it can clear rooms y'know.. put on his 1st 2 albums on at a party and watch the atmosphere get completely sucked out of the room. funfun!), Mudvayne (even though their new album sucks), American Headcharge (even though their latest album sucks also), Faith No More, Fever Lake, Lydia Lunch, Bjork, System Of A Down, Meshuggah, Norma Jean, Ulver, Mastadon, Keelhaul, Animal Alpha, Beth Gibbons, Red Sparrow, Boredoms, Bic Runga (her debut album is gorgeous), Ayria, Kyuss, refused, Pantera, Moesaboa, Fell Silent, Tesseract, muse, Grant Lee Buffalo, Day One, Jane's Addiction, Stone Temple Pilots, I could be here all day...

About me:
Too small to pursue his dream of becoming a closet monster, despite being rather adept at lurking and looming (for as we all know, lurking is loitering with intent), young Jimmy now spends his days sleeping and his nights drawing weird things.

as a matter of fact there is a recording and i do have a copy. it was
an improv basement jam session done in 2004 haha, my flatmate and i cut
the sessions into an 18 track cd, the dr who song being on there.
unfortunatly my copies in NZ stored in an attic. i listened to it last
year and actually liked it. see thing was my flatmate and i were
involves in it for shits and giggles and i also did it to further my
musical prowers/experience. he'd smoke pot and id down shots of
absinthe and we'd dress up really stupid and dance around like idiots
at these practices.

as for the dr who house, like yeah seriously, youd probably wanna take that stuff out of the house whilst taking real estate pics to sell it. the tackyness would devalue it haha

i had a side project once where i was playing bass and keyboard, slightly joy division/electro/improv,kinda thing you do when your musically frustrated. i and my flatmate who was also a singer in a band (played drums in this one) joined cos the main guy was seriously messed in the head and about 40 years old, used to approach us in the street stuttering with what appeared to be chalk on his face to whiten it, whilst dressed very much like David Bain (ironically he was from dunedin as well). there was no way i was passingup this opportunity. anyway whilst jamming i started playing the dr who theme on bass and the other 2 followed suit on their instruments, it was soo amazing haha. we played with famous welington Indie band "disasteradio" who invited me (as i was playing synths in most songs) to do a side project with him which i never got round to doing because candyscar was on the rise readying for 1st gig and an ep etc.. and eventually that guy ends up on C4 haha.
