About me:
I'm from the Soviet Union. (Yes, I speak Russian. Yes, I know I don't have an accent. No, I won't say anything in Russian.) I went to high school in Boston; college in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois. Now I live and work in Chicago as a Software Developer. That's the low-down.
I can get excited and worked up easily and have a tendency to yell shit out at people and things when the fancy strikes me. It doesn't mean I'm a crazy. I'm generally rational to a fault when it comes to solving other people's problems, even if I try to make it sound otherwise. Also, if I'm around you and not trying to be funny, I probably don't like you.
I drink and smoke. Both to excess and though I wish I didn't, I don't see it stopping any time soon. I prefer gatherings to parties, though I will dance at either once I've had a few.
I value my Netflix subscription above most other things for I see it as a small piece of what my life is going to be like after going to bars and getting wasted every other night gets boring. I don't just mean sitting at home, watching movies, but rather activities that this represents and my wholehearted future enjoyment of them.
I can debate about very few things as well as I can debate about film. Challenge me. I fucking dare you. -- My memory is almost entirely audio/visual, so while I can't remember any fucking thing I read, I can quote movies after one watching. Sometimes I think that if I'd recorded myself reading my textbooks in college and studied off the tapes, I would've done a lot better, but I'm far too lazy to ever try and do that.
I have a very well-developed bullshit detector which stems from a more-than-healthy dose of cynicism which itself, along with my sense of humor, is a complex set of defense mechanisms stemming from when I just came to America and was "the foreign kid". They serve me well, but have obvious draw backs. I like to travel and try to leave wherever I am as often as possible.
Also, I can find post-modernist subtexts in pretty much anything and everything. I once got punched in the cock for just that reason. It was really post-modern.
I also have a web site:
