Kristen is a singer and actress currently working and living in New York City, singing jazz that's informed by her training and talents in theater, opera and cabaret.
She's the singer for the Valery Pomonarev Big Band - who's leader (Valery himself) is a legendary trumpeter most famous for his tenure as a Jazz Messenger with Art Blakey. She can be heard with them on a regular basis at the Garage in downtown NYC and has appeared with them at the Iridium Jazz Club.
Kristen can be heard in various venues in the city with smaller ensembles, upcoming at Lola's in Soho with Alicia Morrissey from 7:30 to 10:30 (Kristen's the second set) on the 20th of January, 2009 - it promises to be a party!
