COLWYN BAY vs BURTON ALBION SATURDAY 15th DECEMBER Kick Off 3PM FA TROPHY 1ST ROUND
Nigel Clough's Conference chasing Burton Albion visit the Bay this saturday in what is the biggest cup tie the club has seen for a number of years. Despite player suspensions the club have moved to sign two experienced players in striker Lee Spike & defender Chris Taylor.Manager Gary Finley comments "Lee will add height and power up front while Chris Taylor will add experience to the defence". Efforts are also being made to make a further signing before the game. Burton Albion are expected to bring 200+ supporters so the club is encouraging the people of Colwyn Bay to come along and support the team for this high profile fixture. COME ON THE BAY! BAY IN DOUBLE SWOOP Colwyn Bay FC have made further signings ahead of the Burton Albion match with former Aberystwith striker Lee Spike and experienced former TNS defender Chris Taylor joining the club.

Moved to Connah's Quay Nomads in the summer of 2006 but was released in January 2007 to join Cammell Laird, just one game short of making 300 Welsh Premier appearances.

Dave Booth has been an influential part of the Dance Music Scene for near on 20
years having held residencies at some of the biggest and most famous clubs in the
world including The Hacienda, Paradise Factory, Garlands, Goodgreef, Eden Ibiza…
the list is endless. He has played along side some of the biggest DJs in the world, Paul
Oakenfold, Judge Jules, Danny Rampling, Eddie Halliwell, Trophy Twins, Justin
Robertson, all of whom have nothing but praise for one of Manchester’s finest
exports.
Dave Booth is one of the countries most successful club residents ever, having
become a Garlands Legend in Liverpool over 13 years and having played successful
Ibiza seasons for the past 6 years on the run. He was also partly responsible for the
now legendary Garlands Ibiza White Party at Space in 2002, widely considered to be
one of the greatest parties of all time and was placed 13
th
in a recent Mixmag pole to
find the best party in the world, ever, and 1
st
in DJ Magazine as the best Ibiza Party
ever. Ask anyone from Garlands and they will tell you, Dave Booth truly is the one
they come to see.
Dave’s flexibility of style means that he can play to almost any crowd with ease
having played Trance sets for Sundisessential, Funky sets for KissdaFunk and
Garlands, Dirty Electro House sets for Arrogance and he is even a name on the
Northern Soul scene playing to sell out crowds at the Northern Soul Weekenders
(Blackpool, Cleephorpes, Prestatyn and Tenerife) His ease at moving between the
styles has meant his popularity has been constant! “Jack of all trades, master of all
them too!”
On top of all this, Dave was also the tour DJ for the Stone Roses including having
played at Spike Island to a crowd of 45,000 people and Alexandra Palace! Not only
has he hosted his own radio shows on kiss fm in manchester and juice fm in liverpool,
he contributes weekly on Les Calverts ‘all funked up’’ Saturday night show on radio
city 96.7 and stands in for him on a regular basis.
