Band Bios
Lead Vocals and Percussion
Nancy is a Jacksonville native who, like a lot of singers in the south, got her start soloing in the church choir. As an adult Nancy was living in Atlanta when she started doing studio work with a band called Naif Intent. Studio work whetted Nancy's appetite for the stage and she moved on to start a band called Stark Naked in Panama City, FL with her drummer Frank. They performed under that name for about 7 years, changing the name to LIVID shortly after moving back home to JAX
Marc "Smitty" Smith with his screamin' lead guitar is the newest member of LIVID. Smitty is a native of Southern California but he has been in Florida for awhile now and in Jacksonville for about two years. Smitty has great chops and teaches guitar at Sunburst Studio. If you are fan of great guitar work you have to come see Smitty play. Smitty is full of musical surprises and keeps the whole band striving to be the best they can be. Livid loves the sharp metal edge Smitty puts on the band
Drums and Vocals
Frank Martinez has played most of his professional career in Jacksonville with bands like: 2nd Nature where he jammed with Lisa and Chuck , Brutal Poodle where he enjoyed rockin the Southeast with , Chris , Legacy where he played all over with Tracy and Kelly McDonald , and The Connectors with Ernie Pilcher, Todd Martin and Jim Wade . Frank has spent the last 8 years playing drums for Nancy in Stark Naked and Livid
Kyle Gilbert is a Jacksonville native who has been playing professionally here since he was just a lad. Kyle played Guitar for Livid before the days of Smitty. He's a great guitarist but an even better bassist. He feels that playing bass frees him up to just play instinctively and he is having fun laying down the groove for LIVID
Last but not least......the band's roadie, his name is Rody, he rides on our
big pink tour bus. He is a black lab, 4 years old.
Our influences begin with but not limited to Pat Benatar, Chrissy Hines,Hole, Melissa Etheridge,Cindy Lauper, Cheap Trick, Quiet Riot, ACDC, Ozzy Osbourne, Deep Purple, Led Zepplin, the Beatles, Rolling Stones,Sound Garden, Nickelback and the list could go on......
LIVID JELLO SHOOTERS
1 box jello (ANY FLAVA-FLAV)
foil baking cups
vodka or rum
water
1cup boiling water
add box of jello
keep stirring
remove from heat
add vodka and water
1/2 c. vodka and a splash
1/2 c. cold water(taste along the way)lol
stir it up....
pour into foil baking cups about 1/2 way or so....
refrigerate 2-4hours
