San Francico-based Pono have been making music since 1998 that has been described as 'ethereal folk rock terrorism', 'electronc blues noir', 'a sonic musical collage', and a 'quirky-rich-melodic-miasma'. Inspired by avant-garde artists like Duchamps and John Cage as well as modern music makers like Yo La Tengo, Trans Am, Liz Phair et al. Pono are slowly putting into the universe a catalog of music that defies category but remains melodic and accessible.
