| About Jack McFadden |
|
Jack was born in Hamilton, Ontario, and moved to Toronto in 1966. He attended the Congress of Strings, and spent 2 summers in the National Youth Orchestra. His teachers included Gurney Titmarsh, Thomas Monohan, Warren Benfield, and David Holland. A six year stint with the National Ballet Orchestra dovetailed with work in the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra and shows at the Royal Alexandra Theatre and the O'Keefe Centre. Basically a freelancer, he's played with many great players over the years, and recently (2004) fulfilled a lifelong dream, and moved to the country. He shares a small cottage on Townsend Lake (near Markdale) with his chocolate Standard Poodle, Mika. He's working more than ever, but drives great distances now. He's saving his money to purchase a small helicopter.
