I don't know if I feel like I have a single direct "influence" but I listen to a lot of music and some of it must end up in my stuff one way or another. I've been playing guitar since I was 15, and its sad to say but 7 years of practice has not gotten me terribly far....but oh well. Until fall of '05 I lived in Fairbanks, AK and had the great luck to play in the band Codename:Cleveland and play shows with other AK superstars like The Fearless Pirates of Willygoat, Sweating Honey, Whiskey Tango, The Muldoonies, Sweating Honey, Issac Paris, Kelsa, and Matt Hopper and The Roman Candles. Since moving to Seattle I've had the great honor of performing at the Experience Music Project a couple times, once as a semi-finalist in the Sound Off! competition. After a long time as a solo artist I've been spending time on my band Electric Tape, but look forward to a solo show here and there in the future. Like in April.
I had a dream the night before last that you were flying a huge, crazy, experimental military jet! It was awesome, you just descended out of the sky and landed in front of me. You offered to show me the cockpit by asking, "You wanna see the place where I ROCK OUT!?!" I wondered how you had gotten such an awesome job without a degree...in the morning I remembered that you're studying astronomy...maybe this will lead to piloting an enormous space craft..ROCK OUT!
Hi lovely lady! Thanks so much for putting up me and Max while we were in town. I had such a good time, it was awesome. I especially liked Chapel...sexy/creepy mmm... speaking of creeps and sex...it's also nice to know that if we ever need to make a few bucks there's a homeless man out there just waiting to exploit our naked bodies. dude. thanks for the invite the other night. but i have been drowning in my own sickness for about the past 3 days. I don't think I've worn anything but pajamas in about 48 hours. so moral of the story: rain check. friday nights at the war room are pretty fun for a little groovin'. we should do that soon.
