star wars (original, unadulterated, unf***ed with), lord of the rings (extended versions), the hobbit (rankin bass's animated -- teh best songs EVAR XD), what dreams may come, mio in the land of faraway (mio min mio -- mio, my mio), pirates of the caribbean, spirited away (sen to chihiro no kamikakushi -- the spiriting away of sen and chihiro), the princess bride, monty python's quest for the holy grail. movies with lots of action / martial arts, movies with lots of fantasy, and movies with a great sense of humor. as always, it's all about the characters for me (omg captain jack sparrow! rofl).
Television
CSI Las Vegas; Law and Order: CI; House, MD; Stargate SG-1 (before jack left); Andromeda; Star Trek: TNG; Star Trek: DS9; Firefly (they should make MORE!). stuff with some action, maybe a little drama, some humor, and enough mystery to tickle my brain -- but when all's said and done, the characters have to be compelling for me to get into a show (i happen to think Malcolm Reynolds is one of the best-written characters ever).
