Now, with the debut of his new EP ‘Hide & Seek’, Gerry Scullion a.k.a. Minus Circus brings a new brand of progressive rock to captivate your heart and soul.
‘Hide & Seek’ was recorded in Los Angeles in 2007 with two highly acclaimed producers, 11-time Grammy winner Rafa Sardina (Stevie Wonder, Luis Miguel, Macy Gray) and Cheche Alara (Christina Aguilera, Pink), whom he met after two impressive solo showcases in Los Angeles in mid-2006. “Gerry was asked to make a wish-list for his band to record with in Los Angeles. He chose Peter Thorn (Chris Cornell, Linda Perry, Courtney Love, Jewel), Sean Hurley (Alicia Keys, John Mayer, David Ryan Harris) and Toss Panos (Andy Summers, Steve Vai) – he got all three. Gerry gets what he wants!” says Sardina.
Hide & Seek is available for dowload from iTunes and Amazon
An Experience Part acoustic, part electric, Gerry Scullion combines Indie riffs and folk beats as effectively as he pulls off a stripped down acoustic performance.
The studio version of the songs on Hide & Seek is film, radio or concert hall ready. Gerry strums his beloved guitar night and day when he’s not creating art for new and mixed media – as in the work you see on his web site and album covers. Everything you see related to Minus Circus, Gerry has created. With rich influences ranging from U2, The Blue Nile, Wilco, Coldplay, R.E.M to Sinatra…Gerry’s unique brand of rock carries the message of hope throughout his work.
The Young Troubadour and his musical journey began in the summer of 2005 with the creation of a critically acclaimed foursome (drums, bass, guitar and keys), Minus Circus. 29-year-old Scullion has toured Sydney, England, Scotland, Ireland and Los Angeles, and has shared stages with some of the largest names in the Irish and international music industry, such as Fun Lovin Criminals, The Blizzards, Peter Mulvey, Gary Knock, Nell Bryden, Roisin Murphy, Majella Murphy, Shay Cotter, Roesy, Mundy, Declan O'Rourke, Ray Heffernan and SJ McArdle.
Charity work includes performing and raising over $12000 ( 9.5k Euros) in 2003 for Our Ladys Childrens Hospital in Crumlin, Ireland. Minus Circus is co-founder of Irelands first digital music based charity website - Music Box for Life - which will be launched in November 2009, with all proceeds going towards Our Ladys Childrens Hospital in Crumlin, Ireland. It features music from top class Irish artists such as Chris de Burgh, Paul Brady, Eleanor McEvoy, Mundy, Declan O'Rourke, and The Frames (plus many more).

Shut up! Im off the hook remember.? I drove into town to leave in the tickets and YOU didn't even go. By any chance was one of them Noel? I got a friend request the other day and have no idea who he is. Seen something relating to Music Box on his page and came up with the possibility it might be through you. All recording done and dusted or does it need a bit more to rap up? How many tracks did you get down? Do you sing in all of them?....pity that...:-) Only kidding. Dude, i feel like shite for not getting to see you. Typical of me i thought you were over for longer or i could manage to get to see you. My schedule is a bitch. See how hard....pardon...it is for me to date the girlie wurlies??...it could also be the fact i call them that. My OCD was on over time and ruined everything. Bathroom is still very clean mind you. Shit buzz. The not getting to see you bit, not the toilet. Really sorry mate. *sings "Please forgive me I know not what I do Please forgive me i can't stop just missing you "
Thanks for the help with the page! Really liked your songs, was great to play on them, look forward to hearing the end result. Hope the rest of the recording goes well. Btw when you get back to Oz could you send us over some sun please? That would be great!
