Alright, this is borderline shameful. I debated doing this for a while but some close people to me encouraged it.
My cat, Alice, my best friend in the entire world, is getting older. She turned 13 this March. She's been having some health issues lately. Puking almost every day or every other day, on and off for months. The vet has determined she probably has a food allergy. We put her on extremely hypoallergenic food. She is also going to undergo a a $200-$300 series of tests to determine the exact problem. Plus, she is a tad bit overweight.
A lot of people I come across have this view of me as being wealthy because of the musical equipment I have and all the design work I do. Well, it has taken years to get to this point with equipment. I am constantly selling stuff to buy better stuff. And other than equipment, and the occasional eating out or buying a shirt, I really only have spent my money on gear and bills. Bills, mostly. I think I am wise with my money. I don't blow it on random stuff. I need my cell phone, I need my computer stuff, I need my musical equipment so I can tour and play in bands. Most of my bills are health insurance, car payments, car insurance, etc., etc.
I am not going to ask for personal donations. That's my concern and my problem. My responsibility. Well, so is my cat, but here goes...
I am asking you all to please make some sort of donation to my Alice fund. This money will go to, and ONLY go to, helping pay for vet bills and really expensive canned food for her. I realize that the day will come when she will pass, but let's prolong this as much as possible. She's the best cat ever, and I absolutely love her. She's an amazing companion. I am struggling to fund this stuff myself and I know a lot of you have heard me talk about her, or seen pictures of her, and can relate to me because you're a pet lover, too.

- You are a close friend of mine. If you see me often, you probably see Alice often. Petting her when she walks by is support enough.
- You are broke as well.

- You are a cat lover.
- If you can sympathize or relate to the stresses of the cost of helping sick animals or people.
- You have ever met Alice and fallen in cat-love with her.
