Some people have a funny impression of me being a mean guy. I'm actually a very friendly person, who is known to be supportive and helpful. I volunteer time and postage to help protect children from online predators, and am quite fond of animals - supporting several wildlife and animal charities.
I've been mistaken for a meathead, upon first impressions, though I consider myself to be well-spoken and relatively bright. I am also modestly creative, and tend to surround myself with people as creative (or a lot more-so) than me.
Some people think of me as being a troublemaker, however I rarely pick a fight that I don't feel is worth fighting. I have the mindset of a protector, and will fiercely defend my beliefs and friends. I'm not competitive enough to clash over egos.
I have a LONG list of heroes... I'm inspired by people who do great things, and aspire to do good things myself. I don't want to be a hero, myself, but I don't want to be that guy who had a chance to make a difference and backed out. That's why I practice survivalism, first aid, armed and unarmed combat, public speaking, team leadership, and practical skills like cooking, sewing, basic mechanics, rescue, climbing, balance, firearms proficiency, throwing, swimming and so on. It pays to be prepared, and I enjoy supporting people with my preparedness.
But, don't take my word for any of this... Ask my friends. Although I don't have very many friends, those friends that I have are pretty cool folk. I get along well with people who are streetwise, caring, creative, innovative, strong, funny and who share similar values.

Who I'd like to meet: ...Nice people who are as adept at using their heart as well as their brain, and vice-versa. I get along well with many people. I have difficulty with complacent or willfully-ignorant people, dishonest people, or people who are disproportionately conceited (though I respect people who worked hard to earn the right to be a prick).
I enjoy meeting other people who enjoy wilderness survival, preparedness, first aid, hunting and/or wildlife spotting. I'm still a relative-beginner (less than 90 days total in the bush), and I enjoy learning tricks and hearing stories from off-the-path.
I like hearing stories and opinions from people who are serious about video game and character design. I don't like most game communities who squabble about who is better, or who's a scrub. It's more fun hearing about design elements, marketability, and constructive criticism which is so rare in the piss-and-acid-filled gamer community.
I've met a lot of pro wrestlers, and appreciate the effort they put into their trade. I have many physical and mental traits that would probably make me a sound and entertaining wrestler, except that I lack the competitive drive required to run with the pack. People who say "its fake" don't know just how much determination and pain goes into the performance, and lifestyle of a full-time wrestler.
Speaking of determination and pain, I have tons of respect for legitimate martial artists, grapplers and pro fighters. In particular, I enjoy meeting pro-am and pro mixed martial artists. If you ever run across Shonie Carter, prepare to hear some of the wildest stories on the planet.
