About me:

Project QUEST provides: Tuition assistance, books, fees, and supplies. Resources for childcare & transportation. Study groups and weekly counseling to stay on track. Job placement assistance. The mission of Project QUEST is to demonstrate the social and economic benefits that can be achieved through investments in long-term training for those who otherwise would not have the opportunity. Specifically, Project QUEST, Inc. defines the skills required to succeed in targeted, hard-to-fill occupations and then recruits, trains and develops adults so that they are qualified and ready to fill employers' needs for skilled workers.

Who I'd like to meet:

To demonstrate that an employer-driven system increases the number of quality job opportunities for program participants. To demonstrate that a truly excellent job training program will provide workers with the skills they need for long-term employment and higher incomes. To demonstrate that an individual approach can be more cost-effective than traditional, institution-based approaches to service delivery. To demonstrate that a better skilled and more productive workforce will enhance the economic growth and vitality of the San Antonio area.
QUEST SERVICES For employers, we: Assist in analyzing the skills required to succeed in specific occupations. Customize training programs to meet industry / business needs. Provide qualified, motivated employees who possess the skills required to succeed in today's jobs.
For participants, we:
Evaluate aptitudes and interests, using state-of-the-art assessment tools, then help match candidates with jobs for which they are best qualified. Provide employer-driven, certified training to teach the technical skills required for success and advancement. Offer support services and comprehensive counseling to develop life skills and job readiness, and promote personal growth.
For the community, we:
Assist businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations as they work toward the common goal of workforce development. Help to attract new industrial and business enterprises by providing a strong, effective mechanism for training a skilled workforce. Help our citizens achieve a better quality of life.

    About this page:
I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D

Thank you for the add and for your support in this vital cause to increase the
effort to EDUCATE our youth of the dangers of drugs and violence.

Our future generation depends on the youth of today.

Alcohol and Drugs are plaguing our society and we need to attack it head on
where it is digging its roots; with our youth in our schools.

Knowledge and Truth are the key to help them stay clean.

They deserve the TRUTH about all of the drugs they will incounter.

They are simply too smart to accept the old 'Just Say NO' adage.

Todays teens want to KNOW for themselves,
and a rebellious society we have created.

They will seek the truth themselves and we must educate them with it.

That's what they respect; That's what they deserve!
    A NEW D.A.R.E.
    REQUIRES A NEW APPROACH!
Please help spread the word and tell your friends about D.A.R.E.

    Feel free to visit D.A.R.E.
online at www. dare. com for more info on starting
a D.A.R.E. program in your area and/or to show your support.

    Peace :-)
